I sank down into one of the empty chairs. Children were running around, enjoying one thing or another. I glanced around the room, my shaking starting to go away. I wanted to scream at the children to stay away from the robots on stage. I wanted to warn them. But I couldn't.

Who would believe me?

I sighed, and stood up, looking for the owner. I couldn't see him, so I asked an employee where he might be.

"Miss, do you know where the owner is? I need to speak to him."

"Certainly." Her smile was bright. "If I might ask, what do you need to speak with him about?" She must have thought that I had a complaint or something.

"I... Um, I need to speak with him about getting the night security job."

The smile fell off of her face, and the dishes that she had held in her hands clattered to the floor. The owner appeared then.

"What happened?" He asked.

The waitress only pointed at me. She looked like she was looking at a ghost. The owner turned to me, finally noticing me. "Oh, Miss Alexa! Is the fox all patched up and ready to go?"

I nodded. I didn't trust my voice to stay steady at the mention of Foxy.

"Is there something that you need to talk to me about?" I nodded again. I didn't question how he knew that. I was coming to accept that this place was fucked up.

He led me to a back room. "This is the office." He said. I just nodded slightly.

"Sir?"

"So what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?"

"I would like the night security guard job." I glared at the ground, thinking that I would definitely not like the job.

The owner clapped his hands together happily. "Good, good." His eyes held a certain glint that frightened me. "We were in need of someone to fill the job."

"I know." I said flatly. "Foxy told me." The way that this man was acting, I knew that he knew the animatronics were alive.

The owner stopped at stared at me. "And you aren't just going to run?"

"He had me tell him my address."

"Why didn't you just lie?"

I groaned in frustration. "I was too terrified to."

Besides, I had decided that I was going to move as soon as possible. Not like I was going to tell him that, though.

"Well, good." He rubbed his hands together, his beady eyes looking for something. He finally found a piece of paper. An application. "Fill this out. You start tonight at midnight. Be here at 11:30. Bring you social security card, your id, and an old envelope with you name and address on it."

I quickly filled out the application. He snatched it back and filed it away. "Follow me, we have to get your uniform."

The way to the room was quiet. Eerily so. He looked me over and pulled out a small white button up shirt, a blue tie, and a blue skirt. I glared at the skirt. "Really? Does it have to be so short?"

He ignored what I had said. "Now, Alexa, you have to wear this uniform at least Monday through Wednesday, but on Thursday and Friday, you should wear your own clothes."

"Why?"

"Well, I find that most of the previous security guards die on Thursdays and Fridays, and I really don't want to have to another uniform ruined."

A shiver ran down my back. This man was evil. My mouth opened and closed. I was left speechless for the second time that day.

"Now, I have work to do Miss Alexa. I will see you tonight."
