Holy moley, I'm submiting art! Crazy, right?Anyway, I decided to submit an entry to Archie Comics current "Rock of Ages" Mega Man fanart contest. I really enjoyed my linework but the coloring result I'm iffy about. It was also too big to scan so I had to photograph it which . . . was somewhat destructive to the colors. Also, photographing at night . . . I really wish I knew more about lighting and that sort of thing for photographing . . . or I had a bigger, better scanner.
Oh well, here's my small step back from the art grave. Seriously, I've really never stopped drawing, I just don't tend to color anything worth putting up. Sorry, guys and gals.

No prob, good to hear from ya again though! I think it looks really good for a photograph really, I just thought it was a slightly more off-white 'recycled paper' sort of look to it I guess..

Considering I took it at night it did turn out fairly well. My only regret is it's still a little dark. Oh well.
I'd be tickled pink just to get one of the runner-up spots!

Sweet dude, haha. It's great you decided to submit something for once, after such a long hiatus. And I still say you should upload more, whether or not it's 'worth' it. That's just me though.
I don't know much about the MM series except for a few things and I have played a tiny bit of MM2 but I must say it's interesting to see what some of the characters look like taken under your creative wing. Nifty coloring job too, methinks.

It's based off of the events of Mega Man 3, actually. I know more of this stuff second hand from the Archie comic as I've only beaten, of the classic series, Mega Man 1 for the NES, excluding the Game Boy games.
But, hey, I'm glad you like it! I'm crossing my fingers on this one!

I can't even get through the first level or so in MM2 and that's supposedly the easiest one in the franchise so that says a lot about my inability to beat a MM game at all, haha.

Yeah, I'm much more interested in the world and story of Mega Man. There's a lot of neat things fans are doing to point out the potential of the series.
Though, it's still good to experience the games at least once.

It's a shame to see Capcom not exactly listening to the fans much ever since Keiji Inafune left the company. Seems like they're giving them more of the cold shoulder than anything else.

Yeah, though Capcom of America seems to at least be trying so far as they can really do. Street Fighter X Mega Man was interesting.
I really don't have any confidence in Capcom to do anything worthwhile with Mega Man outside some of the neat license deals they've done like the Archie comic. I've been subscribing since the first issue and it's pretty good. I'm really looking forward to the crossover with Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comic!
