I am maybe removing the second picture, that seems a bit of. Any comments?

noo, if anything, the 1st or 3rd picture. They are the most similar in terms of the man's expression/body language. The 2nd shows him looking off in a different direction.
One critique I would encourage that I would hope you have seen already is the DOF changes throughout the 4 shots, most noticably from the first one to the next ones. If you plan to do a series like this, shoot in aperture priority or even fully manual, along with manual white balance the same way you would for panoramic stitches (if you ever do that) so everything stays the same, shot to shot and there is less distraction to the viewer of the series.

I agree with you.
I did shoot in A mode, I however changed the Aperture from f2.8 in the first shot to f8 in the other three shots (don't know the exact reason for it anymore). At the moment of shooting I was thinking of making one single nice streetshot, when I came home I thought that it would make a nice series. I was thinking I would remove number three from the series, because of the subject and number one because of the dof. If it would have been one shot than it would have been number one for sure.
