Opal was in Victora looking at a Gods Blessed mare which they were hoping to re-home when she had seen a signpost advertising a horse auction that was going to include several brumbies which had been removed from one of the local parks due to the drought and lack of food in the area. As she walked among the pens and saw many horses including a mob of scrawny brumbies from straight off the mountains. There was what looked like a very dark flaxen liver chestnut mare standing off to the edge of the mob. The mare was in better condition than the other horses and appeared to be more placid, she was quite happy to walk up to the fence where Opal was standing and greet her. Opal walked away from the brumbies and found the manager of the auction who directed her to the brumbies seller. The lady she talked to told her that the pretty mare was not actually a chestnut at all but was infact a silver smokey cream! Opal hadn't seen a horse like her and began bargaining with the lady to buy the mare before the auction began...

Looks like Opal's got another brumby coming to 4SS now! Hopefully this mare will be a little more trainable than Rockstar who has so far been a most difficult pupil. I'm not sure that Sirus will be overly pleased with another new arrival as he's been planning a little expansion of his own, which will be revealed at the end of this month...
