The most immediate reaction to this photograph was a sense of angst, of acute anxiety and repressed rage - perhaps I'm overly influenced by my own personal issues, but the way these emotions flow freely through the visual material to the viewer is truly something to marvel at.

Not specific. Not abstract. Not classical. Not modern. Something inbetween - which is my favourite kind. Fractions, broken windows, mirrors ready to shatter in milliards of pieces and reveal a personal truth, a truth of the soul, a wound covered in such haste and stress that it reemerges through the unconscious, at a later date, only to take us over and condemn us in a newfound self-consciousness.

This is what I get from this photograph. Or, rather, this is merely a small part of it. I don't want to consume myself with the minor details - technique, capture and so forth - because they are as good as it gets. What is more important is the gestalt, the sum, the entirety of this work of art. It is, above all, an unforgettable experience.

In my opinion, the purpose of critique is not to calculate the value of art. That is why I have used the rating system in a rather absolute manner.
