That could be it. The actual show feels more of an anachronism of the 90s, 2000s and 2010s rolled into one without any of the more blatant looks/styles/fashions/culture(s) of those decades.

The show's aesthetic is a throwback to classic comic strips like Peanuts and Pogo, so it sort of encompasses elements from everything between the 1950s and now. Which I think is pretty cool - it gives the show a unique and timeless quality all its own

Yeah. I mean... I get that but, to be honest, the only thing 50s/60s to me at least is the thick-outlined look of the characters. I do see that the 80s are represented by the ild fashioned graphics of some video games that Lincoln plays occasionally, but the only nod to the 70s I've noticed was when Lincoln said he broke Lynn Sr's Disco trophy, which Lynn Jr. Clarified/confirmed was won in a Disco contest.

I think the '50s/'60s aesthetic is most notable in the architecture. A lot of the buildings follow that slick '50s idea of what modern design looked like - the schools, Flip's gas station, even Burpin' Burger is an obvious pastiche of Bob's Big Boy.

The only ones I see like how you described are Flip's and Gus' Games and Grub (and even then that's a bit of a stretch), The schools look more like the ones you'd see on any cartoon, and Burpin' Burger is just a more professional looking mom and pop place or a not as prominent fast food franchise.
