Description After reading the manga's and re-watching the anime of each series, I thought I'd celebrate one of my all time favourite shows with a bit of fan art!

Tried something a bit different in that I was mixing my own style with that of the original, proved... interesting!

There is a good chance, more will be coming.

EXCELLENT work. The poses dynamic, it gives off a vibe of tenchi being sure of himself and his power and his recognition/acceptance of Ryoko's Love. among all of the anime pairings out there there are very FEW that i truly believe could last for all time, i have  a top four list and Ryotenchi is #2 on my list. #1 is Naruto and hinata, no purer love has there ever been. #3 on the list is from an obscure, rarely known of psycho-horror anime from hajime yatate called betterman, the couple being Hinoki and her childhood friend Keita whom she affectionately calls "kei-chan" and of course #4 is Vegeta and Bulma, those two lock horns a lot but there's true love between them, unlike that loveless marriage son goku is trapped in. ANYWAY i digress, your rendering is subtle, yet dynamic enough to really complete the piece

You've just got yourself a new watcher, feel free to drop by my page and comment on my ryoko pics or any ones you like and keep up the amazing work mah friend

BLAM! thanks very much man, getting such passionate comments is very humbling. Gotta say, I don't really go for the whole pairing thing but Tenchi and Ryoko? Damn straight. I've always felt that no one was as truly committed to Tenchi as she was, plus she a god damn space pirate! Woo! Vegeta and Bulma is a good one too, pretty perfect for one another, Goku and Chi Chi is hilariously broken to say the least, shes all like "Goku! Married normal life!" and hes "I WANNA PUNCH THINGS LOL!" Oh dear..

Again, thank you very much I'll be sure to stop by and take a peek.

no problem my freehand drawing 1 prof told me that saying "that pic sucks" without any reason as to WHY is just as bad as saying "this kicks ass"with no reason, so when i give feedback i try to make it ACTUAL feedback, not patronizing, nor hatemongering, just advice from one artist to another, keep up the awesome work mah friend

TheFunkyBoy In reply to HazardousWaste1 [2017-04-07 11:11:25 +0000 UTC]

I 100% agree with the Prof, I always super appreciate it when people take time to tell me what they like and even don't like about my work. Nothing frustrates me more than people who say they don't like something about my work but cannot give me a reason or constructive crit about why. So it's always good to come across some one who feels the same AND does that. Thanks man, will do. Expect more Tenchi fan art in the future, my list... is long.

HazardousWaste1 In reply to TheFunkyBoy [2017-04-07 11:19:58 +0000 UTC]

yeah i know the feeling with that long list but my prof said that there's actually no such thing as negative criticism as long as the person giving it has solid suggestions for improvement. so in my comments i always try to focus on the pic as an actual work of art, which surprisingly a LOT of dumbfucks on here can't seem to comprehend i will never simply say "this is badass" or "what is this fucking abomination" as one dillweed said about one of my blue lantern trnks pics which are NOT easy to pull off so i flagged his comment as spam hahaha

TheFunkyBoy In reply to HazardousWaste1 [2017-04-07 11:25:37 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, I'm not so sure. On another site, on one of my pictures, someone said "I don't like this, I don't like the face" but couldn't say why or suggest how I could make it better, so stuff like that is pretty pointless, as it's like crit from a personal level not so much as crit from the perspective of an artist. Plus one of the things that has always frustrated me is people who are either not artists, as in they maybe do a pic or two and just fave everything or people who comment on my work trying to tell me how to improve, when they can barley draw a straight like. I suppose it's easier for an outsider who isn't attached to an image like the creator would be to possibly point out flaws, but still.. I dunno, just always provoked me.

"What is this fucking abomination" is pretty harsh, see that's another thing, if I see work that I don't like due to it's concept or don't like because I think it's poor, I don't comment or fave or whatever, I don't understand why people out there feel the compulsive need to be a cunt about it and put people down. :s I don't blame you for flagging that, that kinda attitude is well out of line.

HazardousWaste1 In reply to TheFunkyBoy [2017-04-07 11:38:45 +0000 UTC]

well that trunks pic took me three weeks of development before getting it on paper this was WAY before SSJ blue was introduced in america so my biggest creative question was how would the power of the blue light ALTER trunks' SSJ3 form and the end result had him with blue hair, the standard darker green SSJ3 pupils but with blue eyes and that's all the asshole said what is this fucking abomination.

Vague feedback is no different than simply saying "this sucks" if you don't like thee face you should be able to at least EXPLAIN why you don't like it or why it looks wrong.

for me i'm 95% self-taught Sixth Grade: Toonami was on every day and having always loved dbz since my elementary days When i saw goku go SSJ something inside me exploded out "YOU HAVE TO DRAW THIS" so most of my skill comes from observation over the years, the manga i'd collected, the later american comics, i've had very few art classes, hence the huge toriyama influence but as of now it's more like dbz fused with naruto, hellsing and spawn, i'm constantly evolving my style hah i saw ghost in the shell in theaters worst thirty bones i ever spent but then i went and bought the hardback deluxed complete collection, with fully colored pages and annotations and footnotes from masamune himself, i also got Ghost in the shell 2 which was actually set up like american comics left-to-right i also splurged some and got the complete omnibus of FlCl the manga i couldn't resist FFFFUUUUURRRRIIII KURRRRRIIII!!! hahaha

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheFunkyBoy In reply to HazardousWaste1 [2017-04-07 11:50:42 +0000 UTC]

Man, I've never liked the SSJ Blue thing anyway, feels a touch like scraping the bottom of the barrel, but I suppose that's what you have to do when you're making the most powerful race in the universe power up to get even more powerful, just add more colors and a slanted story and BLAM new level. I'm starting to see this "Rose" thing about a lot now, is that a thing too? Yeah, I don't really see that guys issue, I wouldn't even know where to start when it came to crossing powers and stuff, not to mention the development work you mentioned of what characteristics you'd need to make more prominent to show the stand out forms of each power. Guy's a waste of time.

Exactly, if there was a specific reason or a suggestion other than "I don't like the face, it looks ugly" What, seriously? Tell you what, when you're better than me and don't use MS Paint to draw, we'll talk xD Bah, people!

I'm mostly self taught. I've had education in Fine Art, Animation, Concept Art and Multimedia but all my development was much like yourself, from seeing things like Tenchi, DBZ, Gundam, Transformers so on and so forth and being like "I NEED TO MAKE COOL THINGS LIKE THIS OR I'LL DIE!" You really didn't like the Ghost in the shell movie? I love em, some fiiiine animated pieces in em, but as you say the manga/illustration stuff will always be better. I now I've seen FICI at some point not sure I've read the manga, I remember it being really strange which is probably why I liked it so much. Long time ago. A lot of my early work wen it came to anatomy was based on DBZ, Toriyama has such an odd way of drawing a body but yet it always looks so good, simple yet functional. If there is one thing I want to adopt and nail down, it's how some manga artists draw eyes, my god, I've never been good with eyes but how they do 'em? Looks so god damn good and I'd love to mix more of my style with that of manga, it would mean altering proportions and stuff so it's going to be a challenge.

HazardousWaste1 In reply to TheFunkyBoy [2017-04-07 12:01:38 +0000 UTC]

honestly i can tell you why super is so convoluted Toriyama, believe or not, is a metalhead and he was sitting working on his various game shit then the band Maximum The Hormone comes on with a song simply called "F" and akira is listening to this song and is like holy fuckballs this song is about FREEZA hence the chorus pretty much being FREEZA!!!! screamed like six times followed by a trio of "DIE! DIE! DIIIIIIEEEE!" it inspired him enough to come up with fukkutsu no F paying homage to the song he really didn't want anything else to do with dragonball but got sucked in regardless hence the insane stupid perverted humor which the original dragonball was famous for.

NOw furi kuri was an anime first the manga author had to get permission from gainax to do it,but this book is FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY pages long, furi kuri only had SIX epsiodes although seasons two and three are in production it was just a a fuckin goofy ass trippy show the evangelion, east of eden and gurren lagaan people got together,  MOST LIKELY smoked a LOT of weed and FlCl was the result hahah

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheFunkyBoy In reply to HazardousWaste1 [2017-04-07 12:19:34 +0000 UTC]

Yeah now that you mention it, DBZ always felt better with a metal score, just suits the whole thing so much better than anything else. It's surprising that Toriyama is a metal head, but man, that just makes it all the better. Didn't know that little fact about Resurrection F, wasn't a bad movie either. I was never a fan of the perverted humor in Dragonball, it's possibly one of the things that kinda put me off the series, seems everyone loves it but me, that said, My favourate saga is either Freeza or Saiyen where as everyone else screams Android/Cell which I got a little bored of..

No wonder it was so fucking mad then! I didn't know it was anime before manga, thats a first time I've come across that usually it's the other way around. I shoult totally get down to reading the manga if it's so long, thats one thing I discovered about Tenchi, manga goes on FOREVER and has a ton of shit not even in the anime, which I loved it for all the more. Gurren Lagaan was pretty good, never finished the anime though, got half way through then got distracted and never went back, Evangelion I've watched the movies and have the manga ready to read, that's probably going to take me forever. It's a lot like Berserk, Animated stuff was good but just.. stopped, the manga went on forever and ever and had tons of shit in that never got touched and is STILL going!

HazardousWaste1 In reply to TheFunkyBoy [2017-04-07 12:26:41 +0000 UTC]

so for DBZ akira wanted to be DONE with it at freeza and goku's final showdown, Shonen jump said no give us more, hence cell, he wanted to end after the cell game but again jump said no which was why the boo saga's writing was subpar because akira didn'y give a fuck in FACT SSJ3 wasa PARODY OF HIMSELF he realized that SSJ2 gohan during the cell game had at LEAST twice the amount of he did in his SSJ form

TheFunkyBoy In reply to HazardousWaste1 [2017-04-07 12:31:27 +0000 UTC]

Man, imagine if DBZ did finish at the end of the Freeza saga? that'd be the end of what is now a legend. I'm surprised he doesn't utterly hate DBZ after pretty much being forced to work on a project he was practically done with. Ugh, SSJ2 Gohan.. if there is one character that irritates me the most it's that. couldn't stand it then, cant stand it now.

cell game SSJ2 gohan i was blown away by but REALLY the thing that FRIGHTENED piccolo was after gohan went mystic, his chi was completely alien to him, piccolo took one look at mystic gohan and says something like "this is no longer the kind, innocent boy we knew his gentleness . . . it's GONE" Mystic gohan was STRONGER than FULL POWER SSJ3 GOKU

TheFunkyBoy In reply to HazardousWaste1 [2017-04-07 12:51:21 +0000 UTC]

Wat. If there is one thing that never makes sense is the mad intermixing of power levels that's always all over the place. "This newborn child is more powerful than pure blood Saiyens and this Hamster is more powerful than Broly on 'roids, but only on Tuesday's!" The Mystic thing sounds familiar but I've been out of the DBZ scene a while and to say I'm behind is a massive understatement.

Very nice incorporation of your own style. This came out really cool. ^^
I'm also a big fan of Tenchi. I've seen most of the series but haven't
seen the space police series and AI yet. This anime practically wrote the
book on the harem genre, inspiring many other similar animes that were just as
interesting and funny. XD

Thank you for the kind comment, I'm happy I was able to pull it off.

So far I've seen everything there is to see, apart from the manga that wasn't translated into English for obvious reasons. AI isn't too bad as long as you go into it not expecting a "proper" or "True" Tenchi animation. It's hit and miss for a lot of people.

Yeah I agree, Tenchi Muyo! Was my first real exposure to harem, I've seen a lot of other anime/manga in the same vein since, but nothing will ever mike me smile like watching Tenchi did, all those years ago.

It is very funny, the comedy and cringe factor are just some of the reasons I love it! I am heavily debating doing more Tenchi related artwork

Tenchi8 In reply to TheFunkyBoy [2017-02-24 00:46:59 +0000 UTC]

Your very welcome.

The look of the characters do look different, as though they had
been re-imagined. I'm curious to see how that series will play out.
the last series I remembered watching was "War on Geminar" and
man, kenshi kicks some serious butt in that series. For a moment I
actually thought it was a different take on Tenchi in an alternate world or
something because of their similarity in their appearance. But overall it was
an interesting series. It reminded me allot like Gundam and Evangelion,
like they were mixing some familar elements into one show. I gotta say it was
really funny and entertaining. XD

Yeah, there have been others that were just as enjoyable, like Cat Planet Cuties was another
one I enjoyed watching before. But Tenchi Muyo is like the mac daddy of harem. ^^

I feel ya. XD
I say, go with whatever inspires you most. There was a time when I was inspired to draw some
Looney Tunes and Tiny Toons fan art until I felt more compelled to focus on my own original works.

TheFunkyBoy In reply to Tenchi8 [2017-02-24 21:12:36 +0000 UTC]

Yeah as for the designs and stuff it was refreshing but.. I don't think anything really beats the classic. I'm doubtful anything will come after this which is a shame, but again as I said it's super tough to beat the original stuff. War on Geminar was fantastic, It's right up there with the original series for me, I utterly loved and wished they had made a season two! It did remind me heavily of Evangelion which is never a bad thing, I do love the whole bio-mech thing, it's right up my alley, find it much more interesting than your standard giant robot concept.

Cat Planet Cuties? Wassat? Sounds like somethin' I'd enjoy.. Yes! Tenchi is where it's at for Harem, how everyone should start their journey into that genre.

Inspiration for me comes from so much it gets a little overwhelming, trying to include it all in every piece of work @_@

In regards to Loony Tunes, fan art always works however there would be no shame in mashing in your own styles and influences and see where that takes you?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Tenchi8 In reply to TheFunkyBoy [2017-02-25 03:07:43 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it was really interesting. ^^
I got into the giant robot concept when I first
saw the likes of Voltron, and Robotech.

Oh yeah, definitely check it out. It's funny, action packed,
cute and sexy, overall very entertaining. ^^ Oh another anime
harem worth checking out is "Monster Musume", and "Vampire Rosario".
Those were pretty good too. ^^

Oh yeah, it would be quite a long list if I wear to name every source of inspirations,
but I can name a few major ones that really shows in the works.

True. Integrations are always interesting to see. I incorporated a lot of
familiar elements into my original story. Every source material has it's
history of inspirations.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheFunkyBoy In reply to Tenchi8 [2017-02-26 15:33:27 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Voltron, Robotech, Transformers.. all the good stuff!

I will indeed take a look. sounds right up my alley. Monster Musume I've been on with for a while now, Anime production is super slow so I've been reading the manga which is not at the same point of sitting and waiting for a page to be bashed out. Rosario was pretty good too, another solid one.

Yeah true, true, there is always those select few that stand head and shoulders above the rest.

Again, yeah this is true, it is however sometimes better to make them less apparent otherwise it can be a little too obvious and feels like a copy or clone.

Tenchi8 In reply to TheFunkyBoy [2017-02-27 03:32:07 +0000 UTC]

I heard they might have a second season for Monster Musume.
The manga was just as funny. Though I got to only read the first one. ^^
Yeah, I like that funny little bat. I could imagine him announcing the number of
comments posted on DA. "You now have 13 comments posted on your deviations! Wee!" XD

Absolutely. The treatment of familiar elements must have some sort of original take to it, like a twist of sorts.

Yeah I agree, I'm a big fan of taking things I love and adding my own twist, seeing how far I can push the concept.

wearing wedding gowns. XD

I feel ya. ^^
Feedback is certainly the creative fuel that we thrive on.
I hope more folks come through. Till then, I'm happy to swing

makes for fun conversation like we're having now.

Gotta love the art world.

I'd LIKE it to be the naga, however the spider girl is pretty fun too! Yeah, or all of em, or it will be like Tenchi and he'll somehow get away with not doing it at all.. Yeah, I'm calling you out Tenchi! >:\

Feedback is good, it is however hard to get sometimes, and it isn't always great but I guess that's what you get when you put stuff online or whatever. Yeah, please do, I've got a good few works in the go ATM as well as intentions for more Tenchi fan art as well as some other old faves of the anime world, list is long as my arm.

True, it does tend to bring people together which is a nice change.

Tenchi8 In reply to TheFunkyBoy [2017-02-28 13:42:06 +0000 UTC]

LOL I know right? XD

Feedback will come naturally. I've learned to be socially active
and connect with like minded artist. It'll take time, but you'd
be surprise how inviting online personality can influence the heart.
There was a moment when I turned off my lap top and I noticed my own
reflection. That's when it hit me that I realized and learned to be the support
I had hoped to see in others. So I made it my mission to play the role of the protagonist
of my own story and make a difference in other people's lives. I even came up with my
own motto. ^^

"Be a protagonist, because main characters never settle for anything as they are, they stand
out to become the difference."    Aww yeah!    XD

I love sharing this to everyone from time to time. It's always good to display a sense of your online
personality. How I am online is how I am in real life. Although I open up more here among fellow artist
than I do among non artist folks, who I seem to run into almost all the time. XD  But I still reach out
to people though and this is coming from an introvert. It takes allot out of me to step out of my comfort
zone at times, but it comes down to how bad do I really want to see the difference. I can't expect different
results doing the same thing. I gotta change things up a little and see what works for me, and reinvent myself
along the way. Which is why I always start with the man in the mirror and work my way from the inside out.
Each day, I strive to be a better version of myself for my family friends and love ones. Of course I will certainly
stumble and fail along the way, but the difference is that I get back up on the saddle and keep riding forward.
Failure is but a learning experience. We get better at our crafts by not repeating the same patterns. When I started
out on DA, I was just waiting for people to notice my work, but I learned that if I really wanted to see better results,
I have to take initiative, and reach out and connect with people, put myself out there. And as an introvert,...man that
takes allot out of me, but it's worth it.

TheFunkyBoy In reply to Tenchi8 [2017-03-03 19:12:47 +0000 UTC]

That's quite the concept and process to come up with.

I connect and agree with a lot of what you said there, though it dosn't always work for everyone no matter your best intentions or how hard you try. It can be very temperamental, however you don't know if you don't try at the end of the day.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Tenchi8 In reply to TheFunkyBoy [2017-03-04 03:37:05 +0000 UTC]

^^

Indeed, it may not always work for everyone. But through some
attempts, there could be other ways that probably works best for a
person. An artist that I watch, came up with a very creative method of
filling his profile page with fan art of his own characters done by other
artist along with his own works, and whenever I visit that page, I enjoyed
the art works that visually welcomes me. Before I could scroll to the bottom
to leave a comment, I found myself enjoying every pic along the way, that by
the time I reach the bottom, I found myself sharing feedback on the works
that I saw on the way, before replying with a "Thank you" for the llama.
This method worked really well for him in striking a conversation with visitors.
There are so many creative ways to reach people. The method that I use, and the other
that I've mentioned of the other artist are just several ways anyone can do it. Also, as a writer,
I use my writing skills to share thoughtful feedback in an interesting and engaging way. Along
with that, I also picked up a cool perk in interpretations. I understand that literature on DA, isn't
as popular as visual art, so I figured the best way to get feedback on my writing skills would be
to write a creative feedback on people's art works. The moment they express their appreciation for
a well thought out, commentary, bam! I got my feedback through a reply. So it becomes a win win for
both of us.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheFunkyBoy In reply to Tenchi8 [2017-03-29 10:20:00 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I still have to work out a better way to display my art, something like that, a line of bits, specific works would be good. However I feel that sometimes when you do go on folks pages, having to scroll through 75 bits of work all displayed on the face page can put me off a little, I always look though. Having people do fan art of your own work would be pretty rad, I''ve always wanted to see what people would make of some of the characters and stuff I've developed, a pipe dream but a dream none the less!

I bet it hard to get attention on DA with writing, there are however other places that are more suited for writing you'd probably get better attention/feedback from but DA is a pretty big hub so there is no harm in posting it here really. I'd imagine if the writing community is as small as I think it'd become quite the tight knit community, with clubs and what not.

But yeah, to get feedback and such you have to give it, it dosn't always work but it's worth the try for the few occasions you can have a good discussion or debate about this, that or the other.

Sorry about such a late reply, I've been on a bit of  hiatus and meant to get back to this a lot sooner than I did.

It's cool. I've been busy with allot of things too, and these things do happen. ^^

Dreams are certainly worth keeping and fighting for. It's totally worth it.

Yeah, it's hard but there are creative ways to approach this and get around them
all somehow. Creativity does go beyond the drawing paper after all. That's why I
use my writing skills to support people's art works, so they experience my writing
skills first hand, and overtime if they enjoyed the read, they'll know or have some
general idea of what to expect when I eventually share a link to my literature.
Pretty much being innovative and tactical in everything you do online. I make good
use of my status post and journals also, even down to writing key words of reminders to
myself from time to time. Everything should be done with a sense of purpose and direction.
I never say, I do anything because I was "bored" as some other folks are in the habit of
saying. An artist should always be moving in a certain direction with a goal in mind, even if
it's a small goal, it's still a goal worth following.

"Tactical" is an interesting way to put it. I generally don't have purpose or any real direction I tend to do whatever whenever, I also do stuff 'cos I'm bored. As long as you produce something I think is the important thing. I find it very difficult to keep a constant motion and ambition, sometimes I do and lasts other times, it's fleeting. Having a goal is important and most times that provides the drive, it's hit and miss.

It's very important to have a purpose. it could
very well be one on inventing yourself to be who you
see yourself to be. And do everything you can to live up
to that dream. It could also be as simple as getting noticed
when you post art works. Methods and perspectives will change
over time, but the main goal will remain the same. You want to
at least give your followers or watchers an idea that you're going
somewhere with what you are doing. Even if you have no idea where
you are heading, you can simply give the impression as you figure
things out along the way. It's a tactical way of planting a seed underground.
You want to establish yourself with some sort of foundation. A foundation will
help you stand firm as you build up in any direction you want to go. Should
anything go wrong along the way, only a few blocks will chip or fall away,
but as long as you have your foundation to stand on, you can still keep building.

Without that foundation, a building will sink or fall. Some artist rely on popularity alone
to get them through the long haul, and tend to push for what appeals most to others as
opposed to keeping it real from the heart on what they feel most inspired to draw.
Now in the case of commissions and trades, that's all fine and dandy, but to garner being
well known, that's where things get rather shaky. popularity alone could only go so far, but
take that away from certain artist and that's pretty much all they have going for them.
However, an artist who possess substance of a strong character, can leave a much lasting impression.
Should things go down hill or hit the fan, an individual of strong character, will have gained support
from people that they have established a strong and mutual relationship with. Reaching out and connecting
with fellow artist can go a very long way. You'll never know where your support will come from on the day
you may need it the most. It all depends on how much you put in. Invest in yourself and in your works,
and be enthusiastic about what you love. Your passion is like gravity that can attract people and resources
big and small. There's a science and a principle or even a formula that really works in the world of social
media. We just need to navigate around as an observer with an open mind to take in just enough information
of the world, to be able to navigate in the direction that we may want to go. Kind of like Final Fantasy games,
you familiarize yourself with the character and the world and mechanics, and you learn how to utilize your
party and stats accordingly in order to level up. With enough experience, you'll have a general idea of where
you want to go first, before you could ultimately face the final boss of the game. So you visit certain towns,
caves, do side quest, because you have a purpose on leveling up with the best weapons and equipements and
stats you could possibly gain. You may not always know where you're heading for sometime, but you keep it
moving, and gain fellow travellers and rare items along the way, cause you'll never know when you'll need the
support and resources on the day it will count the most.

Watchers and followers are attracted to lively characters, especially when they stand out from the norms.

I have a personal motto that I strive to live by and that is...

"Be a protagonist, cause main characters never settle for anything as they are, they stand out to become the difference. "

This motto came to mind the day I turned off the computer screen and noticed my own reflection. That's when it hit me,
that I learned to be the support, that I had hoped to see in others. And since then, I made the most of my experience here on
Deviant Art. So I strive to be the better version of myself each day, starting first with the man in the mirror, and working my
way from the inside out.

We all have something unique and special inside of us. We just need to tapp into it and figure out how to use it.
And when we do tap into that special something, man...you will totally feel like a super sayen in so many levels.
Nothing can stop you from here on out. Firmly planted and rooted in your foundation, swaying like a palm tree, in the midst
of a fierce storms and bearing plenty of fruits from your passionate labor and enjoying it there of. It's worth fighting for.
Take it from a guy who had been tossed around and trotted to the ground many times over, and have failed plenty of times,
only to spring back up stronger than before. I've been through some hell here and there, nothing extreme really, but enough
to understand how things work more or less. I still have allot to learn personally, but the little that I have learned, I share it
with you in my writing. Be encouraged and be empowered. Don't let anyone put you down, but be all the more defiant knowing that
you can do anything you put your mind to.

We're all going to stumble and mess up from time to time, but
getting back up and pressing forward towards the mark is what makes the difference.

Yeah it's true I do need to find more of a direction, I think once I have a few more personal bits of work out the way and have my list of fan art/Re-works done I could probably think a little more on what I want to do, though saying that, it seems my roots are set on scifi/dark industrial stuff. Guess with time maybe we'll see.

I've never been one of these people who would produce work on whats popular at the time, most times I'm not as into whats "cool" as everyone else seems to be. Overwatch is a good example of that actually, I personally can't stand it but it's got a huge cult following and I'm sure if I knocked out more work related to that more people would notice, but as you said.. it's not something from me, so I wouldn't enjoy it as much or probably put in as much effort as I would other things.

Just going to have to get back into the routine I used to have when I was younger where I'd spend at least 8 hours a day, per day doing art, even if it's just something for a few hours, instead of what I do now which is just a whole day when I feel like it. Trying to maintain productivity is hard, then again that comes down to the foundation aspect I suppose.

Ever through of becoming a motivational speaker? xD Clearly you're passionate about art and the community that forms around it, you ight have a hidden talent there?

Anyway, back to trying to produce and do something constructive with time!

Sci fi/dark industrial stuff sounds cool and interesting.

I've seen pics of Overwatch. It looks like a really cool game.
There seems to be allot of on that here on DA. Fan arts are generally
fun to draw, if one is really into it, but even if I could draw any of those
known characters, I wouldn't do so, unless I really felt inspired. Back then,
I was so into the Looney Tunes and Tiny Toons, but eventually kind of
grown out of the phase. That's when I was inspired to draw my own original characters. ^^

Well that's part of it, but time management is a tricky one. Personally, I could barely get a
sketch work done. I'm looking to see if I could get a study room reservation at a public library.
That's probably the only way I could finally concentrate on my writing and drawing, unless there
are other places that caters to writers and artist somehow. ^^

Yeah I have, in fact on rare occasions my peers at church had me speak behind the pulpit in sharing
a message. The first time doing it, I was nervous, but then I got used to it. In ministry I'm often challenged to
step out of my comfort zone. I also occasionally lead sing while playing the keyboard.
But when it comes to doing solos, I pretty much cut loose.   XD  As a writer, I enjoy
using my writing skills to share thoughtful feedback on people's art works here on DA, and even
discovered a cool perk in interpretation. Recently I haven't done as much as I used to and I really miss
it. Been caught up in allot of things in real life. But I was thinking of blogging, sharing allot of art related
things in the hope of empowering fellow artist. I may not know much about art techniques but I do have
some understanding in visual concepts and methods of interpretation that I think would be helpful for
artist who may not know what to share in commentary. And I can also share some words of encouragement
especially for artist who maybe struggling with real life, and how to fight through it. I'm browsing for which site to
go for to set up shop. Pix looks like a good one I might get into. ^^

I wish you all the best with your creative works.
