This painting took WAY longer to do than originally planned. A large part of the reason is it's a different brand of surface than I've used before and it took the paint weird. I was still able to work with it, and will likely use it again, just with the understanding of what I'm getting into when I do.

As for the illustration itself - I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I think the likenesses are sound, and the colour scheme is tight. I sat with it a little longer at the end than I normally do with a painting because it just felt like it was "missing something", though I never could figure out what. I contemplated a couple alteration/additions I could make, but they all came with technical issues that I felt would ruin the composition if I did them. So I had to let go of that worry and just move forward. Despite those feelings, I'm quite happy with the result.

For what it's worth: this was/is meant to be the first in a series, but in light of declarations I've made with my art - it's going to be some time before I make the next one. Don't get me wrong, of all the stuff I'm "setting aside" to focus on my Bear themed stuff, Star Wars and Buffy will be the easiest to pick up and do every once in a while for fun. But it'll be some time before I get to "The Empire Strikes Back", which is a bummer, cause that's my favorite of the movies.
