Description
As much control as we think we have, there are so many things that end up being random, uncontrollable, and just a bit more than frightening.For my photography final. My theme: Time.

I like how the theme is meant to be random but the faces of the dice facing the camera are 1 and 2. :'D

Haha what is also interesting is that 3 is the only number not clearly displayed. But since 1+2 = 3, you could say all possible numbers on a Di are visible in some way.

Great motion capture! I like the high contrast, and dramatic black background. The red dice stand out well. Nice dof as well

This is one of the few that I feel my hand, as well as the dice, where in acceptable focus. I have a lot that one or both are blurry, cropped completely or partially out of the flame. This One photo, justifies how long I spent trying to get this.

I like the concept, simple but effective. Great light study as well. Skin tones seem a little red/orange, and index finger is much more covered in shadows than the rest of the hand, to the point it looks almost distorted. Otherwise nice shot, like the movement, nice clarity on the dice.

This is one of the few photos from the entire session than actually had decent clarity, positioning of my hand, and the dice. I might try it again, but I really was going for a focused, frozen moment. I was really playing the puppet of fates.
Just as much luck as skill involved in getting this one

Years ago I did a shot for class, self portrait with movement. I was trying to get my hands catching sand, I tried throwing it in the air but it was messy and I wasn't getting the look and lighting I wanted. I ended up having someone out of shot dropping sand into my hands to get it. You could try that!

Originally, I did try that. The problem is, since I was using a limited number of dice, the timing was just too short. So i threw them up in the air, to double the amount of time they would be airborne.
