Yeah cause that's a lot of tail feathers to bun. But Donald's bum is so soft that a proper waffle iron would still be able to clamp down on it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the animators originally planned to burn his butt rather than his tail feathers. And it would probably be a pretty mild burn compared to some of the more painful situations his rear end has ended up in.

Yeah Donald had his head stuck longer in the batter than his butt in the waffle iron. Kinda set up as a quick gotcha.

True just the tail end of his feathers got in there, but if his whole plump butt did get in there I believe that the waffle iron still would have been able to clamp down on his soft rear end.
