some background practice! i did this all on one layer, and tried to put a different spin on it/make it different from the reference i used.

i was inspired by this stock to paint a place from my story.

The Vale of Tauron is a warm, plentiful valley at the feet of the Halls of the Sun (mountains seen in the background), and its main portion rests between the Middle and Long Claw (not pictured). kinda like the Last Homely House of the West until you pass the mountains into the Halls.
