I like this. It is just that... it doesn't look as cruel as it should. Some kind of a evil look - bare teeth, blood dripping from them, 'eyebrows' in different position... etc. But I can understand why it looks like that, if you started draw it as Saphira.
Anyway, it looks good.

I can only draw dragon heads... The bodys (especially wings and legs) are hard...

I don't think Galbatorix named him...
Unless the dragon's original Rider hadn't named him between the time Shruikan hatched and when Morzan and Galbatorix killed his Rider.

maybe Galbie would nickname him with some dramatic name, he is a drama queen after all

No, he only called him Shruikan.
Besides, I don't think Shruikan is a silly name. Remember the name of the tiger from the Jungle Book?

I like the name Shruikan :3 even though this comes to my mind when I read his name: [link]

lol I can see how you associate it with drama.
But Shruikan isn't a villain, but a slave. A mad one, broken and tortured and made ruthless by the pain he's suffered for over a century.
I read that if he could, he would kill every living creature he met and burn every plant, for he is beyond repair now. I believe that, if he could break free of his binds, the first living being he'd destroy would be Galbatorix.
Probably sink his teeth into the king's body, chew him slowly, then breath fire in his mouth and burn his evil master, the one who killed his Rider and enslaved him.

I feel so sorry for Shruikan. His life is probably the most tragic story in the Inheritance cicle.

A lot of tragedies were caused by Galbatorix.
Look at Murtagh's life. He's spent every waking moment surviving, trying to stay alive, as he was born in a world that hated him for being the son of his traitorous, cruel father.

Don't forget about Thorn, his life is as much a tragidy as Murtagh's

Like in Harry Potter. The Defense against the Dark Arts teacher always has something bad happen to them. XD Also-- did you ever notice that you draw him a bit like Link but with different eyes and a nicer costume? lol
