But most likely Pyro, when you really think about it. Let's pretend he hired Pyro to do this because someone dominated him on Badwater or something...

I couldn't figure out what pose I wanted to use for a TF2 fanart I wanted to make (it was originally going to be me and my friend's loadouts with cool perspective angles, so I knew I was gonna have to lean on SFM a little. I'm totally gimping myself out of art skills but I usually really try not to use any SFM stuff, and haven't really thus-far except for small things), so I started messing around in SFM to get ideas... I somehow learned you can actually make the model equip any items without placing them on manually! I was amazed!
Then I was like, "I've always wanted to try tracing over SFM stuff to make a thing." So I did!

The entirety of the Medic is traced. I wanted to post the bare lines, but I'll probably show that along with the SFM screenshot I used. I think I did a pretty great job disguising/stylizing so it still pretty much looks my own, though. Can't really tell with the rough shading.

I hate backgrounds, but I really wanted to push myself artistically with this one since I'm lazy as heck and take the easy way out of everything. I did take screenshots of Badwater, but I didn't trace them. I wanted to, but I couldn't because the perspective was off :'D I made a grid and had to make it off multiple screenshots I took. It took... Long time.

And don't even get me started with the fire... GUASGN. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT FIRE IS! UGGHHHH The fire's seriously gonna tear down this whole image, I know it >:S

But anyway... I wanted to make something big. It didn't matter what it was (because this picture doesn't really make sense. Seriously. Why would he stand on a rock when the orphanages are on fire? And why is Dügeon flying away all dramatic-like? And he has a backpack, but where is medigun?!) And I guess this is big, SAI can't even handle it well, lol... Been working on it for two/three days now, but stopped because motivation and I got sick of that stupid FIRE AND LIGHTING ON THE BUILDINGS UUUGHHGHHH-

I wanted to post the WIP though because I'm not sure if I've ever actually put effort into something like this before. Last time I did, it was the GHush painting.

I JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK I GUESS.

Now if you excuse me I have more commissions to tell people I have time to do. Haha. HAHAHAH. //shot

Yeahh SAI tends to hang and crash at sizes above 3000px apparently x_x 

I'm curious, how do you make the models equip any item without placing them manually?

;o; Thank yoou, those buildings were a pain to get sketched out... Now comes the worse part of refining the things, asiansinfasf.

I usually work at 3000x4000 with no problems, but this time I'm working with a 3000x5000 canvas with 35+ layers. Didn't think a thousand pixels would drag it down this bad, but it's really hard on it... I couldn't even save this as png without deleting all my reference layers to reduce memory usage... lol...
Seriously wish I could allocate 90% all available RAM to SAI instead of only ~2000mb. :\ Maybe in SAI 2.

Idk if it works with the other versions of the TF2 models, but with the hwm ones, you can right click the name of the model in the left-most model list thing and just hit "add Team Fortress item."

I have no idea how I didn't know about this before, but it might be new xD
Still no apparently easy way to one-click change paints, though.
