Have you ever dealt with someone in real life that you just really, REALLY didn't like? Well, Tenya reminds me of that person. He was the president of a club I attended in college and I REALLY didn't like him. Always insisting, always pushy, made you participate in things against your will, didn't take "No" for an answer. He was a person that really got on my nerves and I hoped never to be reminded of him again. Then, I watch BNHA and then Tenya Iida shows up. The thing about this character is that he reminds me so much of this guy I had problems with. Tenya's appearance, personality, the sound of his voice is almost completely identical to this guy. The similarities between the two of them is...eerie to say the least. Yes, I know Tenya is a fictional character but whenever I saw him, the thought of this former club president would always pop into my head as well as the tense arguments I would have with him. Eventually I just stopped watching the anime altogether because this made me uncomfortable.
