I might be taking this a bit too seriously, but here's Thanos' background. !!!SPOILER ALERT!!!

Thanos as a kid loved to read, study, and draw, being known as the smartest kid in school. But in school, one day, a group of kids asked him to play, and soon went from being by himself during playtime to everybody's friend. Then, while there was a dissection in class, Young Thanos ran outside and vomited at the sight of the insides of a Lizard [I think it was a Lizard, anyways]. A strange girl then tries to comfort him by telling him it would get easier, but Thanos disliked the comment and claimed that he would never cut open a living creature again, even if it meant giving up the dream of becoming a great scientist like his dad. The girl tells him to go to a forbidden cave to clear his head, and he does, bringing a few of his friends. but there was a collapse, a Thanos got trapped for three days before digging out finally. But his friends got eaten by lizards. After, the girl convinces him to give in to his hatred for the lizards and kill them to avenge his friends, soon coming over his fear of dissection, passing all of his classes. But soon he decides the school can't teach him enough out of boredom and creates his own laboratory, experimenting on live animals. He viewed himself as a valued scientist bent on discovering who he was and why he was like this, and that he wasn't a savage, just doing this for science. But he didn't find many answers, so the girl convinces him to start to do next level experimenting.* Teenager Thanos then kidnaps a young couple and brings them to his lab and dissecting them like the other animals he brought. After a few days, people began to wonder where they were, and as days passed, more and more children began to disappear. His mother, out of confinement** finally talked to him after so long, saying he knew what he was. He dismissed this, but then began to doubt himself. He then went to the place where he buried all the bodies with the girl. She asked him if enjoyed what he did, and he was offended, telling her the experiments were over, and that he would never kill again. He came back 2 weeks later to bury his latest victim, admitting to the girl he did enjoy killing, but she said that he shouldn't be ashamed and he was just doing what was in his nature. He then confesses to her his love, and she says that he was unworthy for love but had the potential to change that by fully embracing his twisted nature. And he did. He then kidnapped his mother and gloated to her of all of his ill-doings, and how he was a monster all along. He then killed her to find the answers to who he was inside of her. He then recalled the day he was born and apologized to his mom, not for killing her, but for not being able to kill him. He then went to seek ultimate power to win the girls love, who had been the manifestation of death, manipulating him from the beginning, from the very start. And young Thanos was reborn into the Thanos we now today.
*Also, whenever Thanos asked his father why he was like how he was, his father either just ignored him or told him he was insanely busy.
**Thanos' mom tried to kill Thanos upon seeing him, so she was sedated and sent to an insane asylum. Thanos would visit her daily, telling her about his school, and strange dreams he had, although she seemed to just refuse to speak. One, in particular, was that he was a newborn baby and someone was screaming and trying to stab him with a knife, and another one was, that he was all grown up and that he took that same knife and stabbed himself [Although he left out the stabbing part and trailed off, saying it was an alarming dream that he's had for the last 4 years].
