Like D-War, but good! Seriously, good alternate history idea there: what if the (the bad guys) had DRAGONS in (whatever war it is)?

Hmm, I'll try to give a fairly okay critique on this one.
The first thing I notice when looking at this piece, is the low contrast on the dragons. They look somewhat "washed out" (in lack of a better word) and doesn't blend in very well. You need to focus more on light and shading on the dragon itself to make it more realistic. If you compare the top left dragon and the nearest soldier, you'll notice that the soldier has a lot more highlight spots than the dragon, which should have more in terms of the light source.
I also notice that the edge on the castle at the dragon in left needs a preciser cut out, or more burning/blending. The highlight should be more yellow, and there's also spot where there shouldn't be highlights.
I could've gone more specific, but all in all, I miss more details and better blending. Take a closer look at the truck, fire blast for example.
Keep at it, not bad at all, but still a lot to do. I suggest going for a simpler concept with less elements so you can focus more on details and proper overall blending. And also, it may not suit your style, idk, but adding adjustment layers and give the piece a more artistic look with higher contrast gives the piece a better overall look and hides minor issues - IMO that is.

Np, now pay me back nah, kiddin.
1. I understand why you desaturated it, just as you, I've also done that many times. But instead of just desaturate the dragons, you could've increased the vibration or contrast afterwards.
2. About the ls, no I can't see it, but the highlight on the soldiers where very strong, compared to the highlight on the nearest dragon at the left which should have been affected by that light too
3. That edge, if it was a part of the stock, you still could cut it away as long as it looks realistic. If not, then burn it or something.
4. Yeah, whoring adjustment layers isn't good, really. But if you can use it properly..
