Description
Azali is back after an almost full year absence.
So, what is different about her this time?
Well, Azali is a little more “toony” looking, as you can see.
I have been wanting to experiment with different stylized anatomy.
Mostly because I felt I was falling into a rut and my anatomy was looking too stiff and not stylish.
With that being said, I made Azali look a little closer to her inspiration sake; UnknownSpy’s alien character Sploot.
I really enjoy how Sploot’s design evolved over the years with more sharp geometrical shapes, to now Sploot having a more rounded edge and bubbly look to them.
I figured that perhaps, I could try that too with Azali, and honestly, I think this is the best she ever looked.
Yes, she is in her original “space armor” again.
Why?
Because I simply just couldn’t get her jumpsuit to fit right on her body.
But, I did keep those bracelets that gave Azali her electric wrist blades.
Overall, this was to smooth out Azali’s design again that’d make her easier to draw more consistently in the future.
As well as more expressive with her bigger, cuter eyes.
Azali’s Notes:
Captain’s log, uhhh…
Ahh, it doesn’t matter.
It’s been a little while since I updated this thing.
I figured that I’d leave this recording for High Command, since I’m sure someone over there wasn’t told.
But to be short, I’m on vacation!
Well, coming off of vacation to be clear.
Since my last log, Rick and I were hunting after Zarcartha and saving hostages.
Sadly, Zarcartha escaped, but we did save the hostages.
After that mission, things oddly dried up for us.
The brush with Zarcartha put a lot of unwanted attention on the Forsaken Ones and the Space Pirates in general.
That Kill Squad that was sent after them definitely caught some bodies and prisoners.
With this new amount of downtime me and Rick had, we told High Command we were going on break, and they were fine with that.
Actually, they quite encouraged it.
I think even High Command knows that I’m a workaholic, they just were being polite and didn’t want to say that to my face.
Plus, Rick looked like he needed a break too, he wouldn’t tell me directly, but his face is more expressive than he is aware of.
We took a trip to Hyprius and went to hang out with my parents.
I think this was the first time I let Rick meet my parents.
They were surprised to see me with this mountain of a bear, but were very supportive and welcoming to him.
After that we went Downtown Neon City to my home for the first time in a long time.
Not too much to say after that, Rick and I enjoyed our freetime to relax on Stella Beach, when to Alpha Apex Park to enjoy the rollercoasters.
And had plenty of “alone time” with each other and not having the risk of Pierce floating in on us.
It was a good 2 months to recharge, but now it’s time to get back to hunting!
Before we left, I did have my battle armor updated, so I’m wearing that again.
This time, I have my electro bracelets and anklets on my armor now.
And with the small sessions of practice I was able to put in with the off time, I feel more confident using them now than I did before.
I still miss Thunder-Cracker, but I’m aware it’s too outdated to bother fixing.
Perhaps my parents could find a better use for it.
End of log.
