YAY!!!!!Yesterday, marked the day of 200 watchers
So, in celebration of this momentous occasion, I have crocheted this adorable Pikachu in the "Pokemon Time" Style that I absolutely love. Lookit up if you've never heard of it because it's uber cute.Crocheted of course...no pattern. Eyes, nose, mouth, and cheek spots, are needlefelted. I started writing one down as I went, but the tail became far too difficult to actually write a pattern for... >.>

I saw some of those Pokemon Time dolls on ebay a while back, and they really are super cute. You've done a great job with this pikachu, it looks just like that style! The tail really does look like it was hard to do, but it turned out great I think!
Even after all these years, Pikachu is still one of my favorites, and I like this style more that how he looks in the anime or the games in recent years. (I always liked his chibi fat style in the first gen or the mangas).

Aw thank you! That's very sweet of you to say ^^, it actually didn't take me very long to make (in comparison to my other amigurumi). The style is very simplistic and relatively easy to mimic. Only one thing tripped me up a little, the tail. o____o

I'm rather curious about the arms, legs, and ears. Were they done separately and attached, or did you somehow manage to make them in one piece with the body?

Thank you! I really love Pokemon time as well, and I'm lucky enough that they make Umbreon in that style...but they don't make any of my other favorites. I'd love to see a Pokemon time Luxray!!

I KNOW I've seen a Time-themed Luxray before, it was a custom though... I'm thinking it was in someone's collection on the community? Not sure, but it was cute! I recently did a Time Lapras necklace, I just have to upload it!

If I had more room (and moneys, lol) I wanted to do a small collection of cat-like Pokemon. I've decided to just get Kids of them all instead to save room for everything else.
The girl who owns the community is an electric type collector, and has a page on her website for a lot of the different Shinx line merch. [link] I'm sure that can give you an idea of what there is out there for them!

It's a really cute thing to collect... I'm focusing my collection on Umbreon, Luxray, Dragonair, Hippowdon, and a new addition of ANY Pokemon in Pokemon Time Style lol. I absolutely love seeing my new Pika up there that I can't part with him. He looks sad though, he needs a friend. So I must expand my collection to include this adorable line (or at least some mimicry of this line).

I keep wanting to draw them all... I'm becoming a little obsessed with the ACEO cards since I've started to do them. But then that's 649 drawings, and that would take some time, but it'd be so amazing to have done it in the end, I think.

I actually tried crocheting a few years ago and became so frustrated with the whole ordeal of keeping the same amount of stitches in each row (I always picked up extra stitches somewhere!) ...that I completely gave up. Until one day, one very fateful day, when I stumbled across an amazing crocheter's gallery, full of Pokemon. I can't for the life of me remember what their username was. If I could, I would thank them for inspiring me to try again. I started to learn this past October, using internet tutorials and a very helpful book that my tactful younger sister bought for me...and I've been crocheting ever since!

That's really awesome - I love how things like that can inspire people to become better at what they do! I'm totally going to have to try my hand at it one of these days. I knit sometimes, but not enough to make that much so far, and it has been forever since I crocheted. I always see books at my library about this stuff, so I need to actually check them out and try it sometime ^-^.
