This boss has always held a significance to me. The first time I ever beat FF4 (which was FF2 in the ancient times), I was almost a wreck. I couldn't sleep until this monster was defeated, and the feeling of sheer satisfaction flowed through me like a riptide. I was a hero! A real one!

And back then, video game achievements REALLY meant something. My body shook, my eyes were wide and focused during the final battle, even my blood vessels had almost frozen, and I could see them under my skin, like pink marble.

So uh... Yeah. FF4 will always have a special place in my heart as a gamer.
