last set of bg lore stuff, I don't usually like making refs of characters I won't use, but I imagine I actually will use these characters at certain points, plus w these done now I won't have any inconsistencies if they're referenced at any point (which they might be in the next chapter of comics after reignited)

Basaal, The Eternal Flame

Leader of the fire empire

they/them

Basaal is very quiet for a leader, doing a lot of listening and thinking both when talking to officials and citizens. This quietness shouldn't be mistaken for shyness though, they can have a very intimidating and commanding air to them. As is typical for fire royalty as well they're a very adept fighter, and they took their role as Eternal Flame from their uncle through arranged combat. It was a very devastating defeat on the part of their uncle and none have challenged Basaal since.

Kryogen Hydrax

Queen of the ice kingdom

she/her

Kryogen took the throne at quite a young age with the sequential death of most of the royal family, and is still the youngest of the elemental leaders. As mentioned she used her ascension to the throne as an opportunity to push for more support for medical mages in the ice kingdom. Her firm belief is that it doesn't matter if it was her family's strictly ice dragon bloodline that caused them to become sick, but that it was their shame and refusal to accept help that led to their deaths. With these mages help she was quickly relieved of a lot of her chronic pains and is continuously taken care of by a lot of these mages that work for her personally. Some claim that they would be able to heal her spine and allow her to move about without her wheelchair but she always brushes them off, claiming it's not a big deal and that it's more important to take care of bigger concerns for her and her people.

Cragg, Voice Of The Forest

Leader of the earth dragons

he/him

Cragg is one of the more controversial leaders, it was him who first led the earth dragons to battle the apes. Many earth dragons still bear many war scars from the battles and are very bitter about the whole experience, feeling it was very pointless and simply a show of power from Cragg. Some still believe he can do good, as he's been done a good job at protecting the earth dragons despite their proximity to malefor's armies and lair, but with the dragon's age and seemingly very petty spat with the apes many believe it's about time for him to step down.

Galva

Electric Council member 1

she/her

Galva is the head council of relations in the electric nation, a role she was seemingly born for as she's very clever, witty, and VERY talkative. Without a doubt the most sociable of the council she does a good job keeping everyone happy. She has a way with words and can easily dumb down even the most complex of electric dragon contraptions, essentially doing the job of translator so that other kingdoms can get a good idea of what the electric dragons need in order to negotiate.

Incandesce

Electric Council member 2

they/them

Incandesce is in charge of power and management within the electric nation. They not only keep a close eye on the power grid, making sure it's producing enough energy and is properly rationed out to all of hurricos. But they also make sure every building, electronic, and shop is within it's proper place in the city. They're not much of a talker but there's obviously a lot going on within that head as they run the planning of the city and all the experiments taking place in it like a well oiled machine.

Joulez

Electric Council member 3

he/him

Joulez is the in charge of money and repairs within the electric nation, and specifically within Hurricos. Somewhat intertwining with Incandesce's job, Joulez is in charge of the difficult balancing act of making sure that things within the city are properly repaired and maintained without blowing the whole nation's budget. He is also in charge of passing out research budgets, assuring dragons receive proper pay, and managing sale prices of anything developed and sold with electric nation backing. While he's usually quite level headed he's known for getting very upset with those who either waste research budget or charge too highly for and monopolize things developed with a given research budget. His most infamous blow up was when he kicked Moneybags and all of Auric Industries from Hurricos.
