Title suggested by some random guy I showed it to that I don't know
I was browsing DA and I came across a beautiful eye staring out at me from the screen!
And I was bored, so I did this
I'm quite proud of the result and hope will be too, seeing as though it's her. Thanks for letting me use your piece
[link] Check it out and fav itThis took a little over seven hours and this is my second piece of realistic digital painting, so I think I did quite well.
Critique is very much appreciated as I loved doing this and really want to improve because you will probably see more of it in the future.

the hair loooks very good how did you do that

I did a skin layer, then some thick soft lines of the basic colours on another layer, then on the top layer I did lots of thin hard strokes of the colours

wow AMAZING job, the eye colour looks great, the only thing that could be fixed is maybe smooth out the edges (for example the white of the eye doesnt slowly fade into the eye, it just kinda stops) other than that great job

It took twenty three layers by the end. And a while...
Six of them were the eye and eyecorner
The iris had four of them! I had to do a few thick soft lines in a circle, then the thin lines and blur it a bit and the dark bit 'round the edge and a couple of other things.
