Still have a lot of pieces I kinda like from the 2011 convention season. ENJOY!Drawn on cardstock with blue pencil.
Because sometimes (and by sometimes I mean "I do this a lot") I give much more detail than what I'm paid to do. This was supposed to be a quick Batman head sketch. I kinda felt like it needed more.

I really like the perspective and facial expression on this one. He looks almost weary but at the same time alert and watchful to what's going on in the city. I've always liked Batman art that has him looking over the city. Good work.

this might be a stupid question, but what do you use to do your work (regular pencils and sharpie markers?)

On convention sketches, I use a blue pencil to do the layout, then Copic markers and ink with an inking pen with some white pen to accent. The one here is all blue pencil.
I haven't used a sharpie on art stuff in years-- I'm not knocking it, but the ink has a tendency to fade over time to a red, rusty tint, so I avoid them if at all possible.
