Yes, I support the two state solution. Yes, I have issues with Israel's treatment of Arabs. I don't approve of Netanyahu or the current government, and I don't support Hamas or Hezbollah. I believe both Israel and Palestine have a right to exist side by side, and at peace with each other.Related content

I really don't think the two states can exist independent of each other, especially in their present state. Eventually the two will end up in some sort of power-sharing agreement akin to Northern Ireland, or they'll destroy each other.

Jordan was established to be the Palestinian state everyone is demanding. "Palestine" technically already exists.
I believe the notion of a two-state solution is merely an attempt to take over the remaining Jewish land.

Additional evidence of this is that the Palestinian leadership demands all of Israel, refuses to recognize Israel at all, and pays salaries to anyone who kills Jews.
It's all well and good to try and coexist, but it's ultimately foolish if you try to coexist with those who want you dead...
Netanyahu and his government recognize this fact. Trying to coexist with Hamas or Hezbollah would only lead to Israel being compromised as a nation.

The Palestinians, as a whole, don't want to exterminate the Israelis. The situation is exacerbated by Israel's treatment of Palestinians in both Israel and Palestine.

You're right that most Palestinians don't want the death of Israelis - like any people group most just want peace.
But it seems obvious to me that the fault lies with Hamas and the PLO, who constantly incite hatred against the Jews, going so far as to pay salaries to those who kill Jews.
The fault does not lie with Israel.

2) Israel feeds its enemies because it treats it's Arab citizens as criminals, it constantly violates the borders of Palestine and refuses to recognize the right of those Palestinians driven out in the 40s to return.

2) Your previous post is morally absurd and factually wrong. The Jews have treated the Arabs like garbage for seventy years. You can't pretend like the Arabs are the primary provocateurs in the conflict. If the Israeli government didn't go out it's way to discriminate against the Arabs at every turn, the conflict would be cooling down by now, not on the umpteenth heat up. Your bald faced bigotry is the source of the problems you justify your bigotry by.

I would love for it to be merged, but the two state solution should be the highest of aims. But knowing the current administration in both Israel and the U.S, it's not happening anytime soon

Still there is a strong possibility that Netanyahu may resign because there is currently a cloud of corruption allegations around him (He's been questioned several times) for graft, receiving gifts from billionare "friends," trying to authorize a quid-pro-quo (AKA Bribing) an owner of a newpaper to give him more favorable coverage, and a shady submarine deal made back in 2014-ish I think. If that happens, the vice prime minister (which he hasn't decided yet) will take over, and most likely when he does decide who the vice premier is, it will be from his cabinet. Ether that, or the President of Israel will have to dissolve the government and call new elections.
