Description I had a lot of fun with this one. Another from my print-making class - and largely inspired by the '97 comic run of 'The Creeper.' I swear I am the only Creeper fan, like, 100 mile radius of here. Jack Ryder (with glasses!) is just so damn fun to draw. Especially in agony.

(Don't talk to me about the Creeper reboot though, that thing's just a travesty.)

The texture of the wood there is totally happy accident, by the way.

I love this guy, Its just so sad only a few people knows about him. I really loved the comics specially the where Len Kaminski is the writer.
I also love your work, such a nice way to use wood block. (I used to do it so I know how self torturing is the art process. )

Poor Jack gets no love. It must be sad when your alter ego gets more attention than you.

But on another note, this is fantastic. I love the texture of the wood; it really adds to the whole effect.

So how's the '97 rerun of the Creeper? Is it decent?

Painting wood and scratching at it, I'm guessing? That's an interesting technique - I hope we'll be able to do that kind of thing in the print making unit in my art class this year.

Hee hee, I like how abstract it is! The swirlies and the hand add a lot of emotion to it.

Actually, scratchin' the wood block (like, you carve out the image's negative space with these special tools), rolling paint over it, and pressin' real hard to paper.

I find my previous experience with print in highschool to be largely unsatisfying, actually - they're too cheap for wood, so they give you this plasticky stuff that I can't remember the name of... Wood is considerably more gratifying, however.

Ugh, I did it with the plasticy stuff last year. It wasn't too much fun.
