The imfamous photo taken by Joe Rosenthal of the five marines and a navy seal corpsman raising the United States flag on top of Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II.This is not my photo nor do I claim it.I am merely putting it here so I can display it in a journal about an art piece I am going to make of this.

oh my god get your fricin history straight its 6 marines tht raised the flag ok from left to right and behind on far right his name was Ira Hayes then to the left of him his name was Franklin Sously then to the left of him is jack gorden the left of him is harden block then behind franklin is Mike strank then to the left of him behind Jack is Rene gagnon get your frickin history right ok
