Description
So this is one of the things I've been doin these past months!Some of you may have heard about this, since it was announced in the last SDCC, and Todd Dezago (the writer in this!) already talked bout it at newsarama. I may say that workin with Todd and Kieran is being super fun!
The fanboy in me is jumpin in joy.
So not much moar to say here, regular cover for issue 1.

I looked up this comic in the wiki,but soon stopped . Why? It just did not jibe with my own fan-fics. In them, I dismiss the Harvey stories, about 99.9% as fidtion approved by Casper who worked at the studio. When he bid for more control , he was fired.
He took his earnings, bought a home comuter and established a correspondence with a boy, surname Prince. Β

I really like the updates to Wendy and Hot Stuff here. If only Dr Harvey, Kat and the Ghostly Trio could be updated somehow.

Dr. Harvey and Kat do NOT exist in the Harvey universe. They were made up by Universal. In the 1995 cartoon, Kat dumps Casper anyway. In Harvey universe canon, Wendy is Casper's only girl (and it should remain as such).

At first I thought "What did you do to Wendy?!?" But then I read it and saw she hasn't changed much inside. Wendy always was less optimistic than Casper. There were times when she'd get fed up with his goody-goodyness and tell him to stop letting people use him as a punching bag. She's clearly older, sadder but wiser, and has finally realized there are people she's never going to change, so time to move on. i don't like the nail polish but I of course recognize the Spider-Man/Dr. Strange gesture, which is used to fight off the evil eye. Always wondered why Hot Stuff didn't interact with them. Maybe they thought putting a witch and a devil together in stories would get them accused of breaking the comics code. In the 90s they put him with the others a few times but changed his personality completely, making him a big jerk. Most of the time Hot Stuff just wanted to be left alone but all kinds of weird things (chairs, lamps, spoons, and so on) kept getting in his face until he lost it.

I have dis!
In truth I bought this because I didn't want to leave the comic book shop empty handed. All I can say is that I'm GLAD I bought this! I've liked Casper for EONS but I have to say that this version looks to be a good revival compared to the other things that we've been given AFTER the first movie and the cartoon series that spawned from it. (Not the CGI one, the one that was done in 2D which featured the characters from the movie. 
I can't wait to get the next issue...IF IT EVER ARRIVES HERE!

Wendy. The Good Little Witch. Portrayed in 1998 by a young Hillary Duff (Casper's theme opening the Casper Meets Wendy film sounds like an aged Hillary singing, even if it clearly isn'tl, by the way [ [link] ]).

Just made me rememeber my childhood; I used to have some of these Casper comicbooks nearly 20 years ago, but here in MΓ©xico the "spectrals" were known by the names of "Wendy, la brujita buena" y "Flamita, el diablillo travieso", and of course Casper, but in spanish he was called "GasparΓn" hehehehe.

The greatest change is Hot Stuff who now looks like a city punk with attitude. (In my own works I added a daughter for Spooky & Poil -Opal !, and a girlf(r)iend for Hot Stuff -Habbytrotter !)

jeje, estuve en NY en septiembre y cuando entro a Midtown Comics y me parece reconocer tu estilo en el dibujo de Comic Shop News digo "hmmmm? y esto??" y al leerlo veo que efectivamente eras tΓΊ. Enhorabuena pues. Con Kieran he hablado alguna vez y aparte de ser un colorista que te cagas parece buen tΓo, asΓ que no dudo que el comic tendrΓ‘ una pinta cojonuda.
