All right, enough is enough. I’ve stalled way too long with this, longer than playing Pokémon Violet can excuse.

While working on “Lakeside Knighting”, I considered doing a similar piece for Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling. Only Kabbu (on the left) appears in the main game, with his Master and best friend Bit only coming up in verbal backstory… and the game’s official art book. I wanted to make artwork of those two a bit less scarce.

I admit, it’s not a complete work. The characters were supposed to have shading as well… but I didn’t want to risk a mess with the shading already around them. The second draft will come after I’ve handled other ideas in my queue.
