Description Alchemist and the Bookkeeper, prt 1: Hayden had worked in the stables his entire life.  During official visits from nobility, his boss referred to him as a "custodian."  In the absence of anyone important, he went back to his usual title: "shit shoveler."

Do you know about ?  He's a fantastic writer,an overall artist, an engineer by trade and a math genius as a hobby.  He's also a great friend who deserves all the happiness in the world.

When I wrote my Princess and the Pirate story, he was one of my main supporters and pushed me to finish. He liked the fantastical, medieval universe full of peril, politics and struggle. So, created his own prequel of events that happened about ten years prior to my own story.

It features a day-laborer who happens to have the -possible- apprentiship of a lifetime with the Rocqueburne Alchemist guild. It could change his station and his life. But things go awry as deception, corruption and mayhem come to light. Little pawns tend to get crushed in important games of chess.

So, he's 13 chapters in, and I love reading it. Love, love, love it. He has complete creative license,creates fantastic new characters and some familiar faces make appearances! I figured such hardwork deserved my thanks, so, for him, I drew his main character. The nobody, who's getting to know everybody, underdog hopeful, Hayden! { I don't know what it is, But Im really liking the whole black/white/grey/inking look. Also, I need to practice guys and I'm extremely happy with his face. I know this wont be nearly (if at all) popular, but we do things because we want, not for page views, dammit! }

Ain't gunna lie, comments are nice tho.

What is Ι Χ Ω Ρ? Read it to find out more! What's the differences between science and magic, but distraction and charisma?

Read it! You can completely read his story without having to read Princess and the Pirate, or you can read them both! It's an adventurous way to spend an afternoon!

A Tale of Adventure in the Kingdom of Rocqueburne
Chapter 1
"Another beautiful day in Redstable, isn't it?"
Hayden barely heard the greeting from the street vendor.  On most days he would take a minute or two from his walk to work to catch up with the man.  The conversation was rarely deep or meaningful - usually a few observations on the weather or a casual complaint about taxes, but rarely anything more.  However, today was not a day for idle chitchat.  No!  Today was bigger than taxes and weather and everything else they had ever talked about.  Today was the day that Hayden would leave Redstable for good.
The town of Redstable was a little less than a day's journey away from the castle walls of Rocqueburne.  Situated between the sea and a vast expanse of open prairie, Redstable was seen as one of the great bread baskets of the kingdom.  An army of farmers and fishermen worked the fields and the nets to feed the  The Princess and The Pirate prt 1.I
Rocqueburne was a kingdom on the west coast. A forest behind it, an ocean in front, really, it was a self sufficient place that rarely required any real attention from the Empire it was apart of. Now. But, it wasn't always so.
Bustling enterprise doesn't just happen. The King and Queen of Rocqueburne were implanted here by the Empire ages ago. Back when the town was held together by sticks, crime and even a whole different name, Capebluff. It was only by years of blood, steel and iron, did their kingdom become a great shining gem by the sea. The people became educated and were more prosperous for it. Crippling plagues were forced from the city, winter after winter, fewer innocents died. Each spring, a budding culture renaissance came closer and closer. A proud, civilized nation was forged from the once dilapidated mire.
And when Capebluff was washed away, Rocqueburne stood.
Problems were expunged but capitalism has always been fraught with troubles. As happiness and wealth came, peo
