SO while I was rereading my client's novel to work on commission #3, I had missed a detail and had to redraw Sylvia's dress. I had accidentally drawn Sylvia's long white dress when she first materialized from a digital entity. She was actually wearing a short black dress with slits on the side at the time of capture. In the story, she changed into her short black dress moments before being drugged and captured by her "servant", Rena (NOT shown in the drawing). I had initially drawn the latter during the sketches, but then I think I read it months ago and thought I got it wrong. Luckily the client is pretty chill, but still.

Well, point is, I redrew the black dress and fixed a couple of technical art issues I've overlooked in the previous drawing. I have decided to leave the first version up since a lot of people favorited it. However, I will also edit the deviation at some point to fix some issues and redraw the white dress so that it looks nicer.

FYI, this is precisely why I always update my clients on the progress and highly prefer that all the changes (if any) and stuff be made before the coloring stage. xD It's incredibly hard to edit once the coloring and shading happens because I have to go back to the line art layer, and then change the color/shading to match the changes. But no harm done: I rectified my mistake, and the client was busy and probably didn't even remember this detail from his book enough to even mention it. Also, the dress was simple enough in design that the changes were relatively easy enough to make. And now there are two different versions to enjoy!
