Description
Igira was the first...but there were more to come.

That's right, MORE chibis! These guys are known only as the Dark Zodiac. Founded by Ophiuchus, (a mysterious hooded figure in a serpent mask who has strange ties to the original Zodiac) they were formed to oppose the original twelve. Igira was the first of Ophiuchus' "experiments" in forcing constellational spirits into selected hosts. As Igira was very young at the time, and Aquilla was a particularly powerful spirit, the side-effects were pretty disastrous, the most notable being the damage done to Igira's mind.
Realizing that Igira alone wasn't enough to bring down the Zodiac, he performed the same experiment on ten others, preying on their deepest wishes in order to manipulate them into joining his cause.

I've included brief histories in their bios this time, so as to explain their reasons for joining the Dark Zodiac.

NAME: Amera
AGE: 16
CONSTELLATION: Chameleon (the...chameleon)
POWER: Shapeshifting.
HISTORY: Amera had always been a brilliant actress, and her dream was to one day act professionally on stage. Her dream was about to come true when she had a chance to audition for a lead role in a professional stage play. However, her rival for the part, a particularly cruel girl, slipped a dangerous chemical into her drink before she auditioned, to sabotage her. Amera took a sip and immediately started choking, her throat burning. She was taken to hospital where it was revealed the chemical had permanently damaged her vocal chords and rendered her mute.
Needless to say she was devastated. All she wanted to do was act...and that's when Ophiuchus visited her, with the promise of being able to restore her lost voice...on the condition she helped him destroy the Zodiac.
Her skills in acting made shape-shifting the perfect ability for her. She would even be able to speak whilst assuming another's form, but with their voice, not hers. That luxury would have to wait until her task was done...
PERSONALITY: Not much is known about Amera's personality, as she cannot speak unless she is pretending to be someone else. But she is determined, if a little snobby, and will stop at nothing to restore what is rightfully hers. Although she is generally calm, she gets easily annoyed when people mock her disability.

NAME: Ryusho
AGE: 15
CONSTELLATION: Ursa-Minor (the Bear)
POWER: Ryusho is immune to any sort of pain or injury.
HISTORY: Ryusho was renowned for being a daredevil skateboarder, fearing nothing and accepting any challenge... until he broke his arm after attempting a particularly dangerous trick on a half-pipe. He was visited in the hospital by Ophiuchus, who told him that such injuries would not bother him any more. He healed his arm instantly, and granted him his power of invincibility. But in return, Ryusho would have to join the Dark Zodiac. Not willing to walk away from a challenge, he accepted.
PERSONALITY: Although Ryosho is daring and fearless, he never was the sharpest tool in the shed. Not being particularly smart, and a little airheaded at times, he usually leaves the planning up to everyone else. But once the plan is set, he gets the job done, and doesn't let anything or anyone stand in his way.

NAME: Ata
AGE: 16
CONSTELLATION: Columba (the Dove)
POWER: Ata can make a whistling sound that immediately puts all who hear it to sleep.
HISTORY: Ata was just your average, happy-go-lucky girl. She was popular, attractive, intelligent...life was good to her and she enjoyed every minute of it. However, her perfect world was broken when she got into huge argument with her best friend, who was angry at her for being 'too perfect,' and overshadowing everyone else...even though Ata never actively sought attention, it just came to her. Her friend's words had truly hurt her. She had done nothing wrong to anyone. Deep down, she wished that she was able to silence harsh words, to prtect herself from further pain...and Ophiuchus sensed her secret wish.
To her, he bestowed the ability to put others harmlessly to sleep in an instant. Never again would she have to endure the torment of cruel words...but in return, she would have to use this ability to help bring down the Zodiac.
Ata agreed...she had never known that her little sister Otomei was one of the Zodiac.
PERSONALITY: Kind and understanding, Ata is probably the 'lightest' person in the Dark Zodiac...but she is very sensitive, and doesn't like to break promises to anyone, not even Ophiuchus. She particularly sympathises with her tortured teammate, Okami, and is always there to try and cheer her up. But she doesn't like fighting, so she's glad to possess such a harmless and useful ability.

NAME: Kujaku
AGE: 16
CONSTELLATION: Pavo (the Peacock)
POWER: Kujaku can summon incredibly realistic illusions in the minds of others.
HISTORY: The art of creating illusions is an art not unknown to Kujaku. A talented junior magician, his spectacular public performances dazzled and amazed his spectators. He was a local celebrity...and then a laughing stock when one of his tricks fell apart in front of a huge audience, humilliating him completely.
His frustration at his mistake aroused the attention of Ophiuchus. He requested Kujaku's sevices, and in return he would grant him with the power to create illusions so real you could almost touch them, visions that would both terrify and amaze with their realism.
As always, Kujaku's hunger for power got the better of him, and he agreed to Ophiuchus' terms.
PERSONALITY: Proud and stubborn, Kujaku thrives in trickery and deception, anything that can make him look more powerful than he really is. However, his selfishness and greed are his weaknesses, and he'll do anything for the right price. But, being a master of illusion, he knows all too well about how easily people can be decieved, and only believes in what he can see and touch.

NAME: Ketsi
AGE: 12
CONSTELLATION: Hercules
POWER: Ketsi possesses unimaginable physical strength
HISTORY: For her whole life, Ketsi had been treated by her parents as being the "little princess." Her whole family only ever saw her as being a cute little girl, and treated her like a spoilt puppy, dressed in frills and bows. But this treatment infuriated her more than anything. Being a little princess made her feel weak and useless. She wanted to prove everyone wrong, to show them she was more than just a pretty face. She was stronger than that.
Ophiuchus came to answer her prayers. He told her that never again would anyone think of her as weak...and by bringing down a team of twelve gifted teenagers, all older than herself, she would be able to prove her strength to the world, and would never be underestimated again. She agreed to his offer, and fled to join the Dark Zodiac...leaving a shattered wall behind her as proof to her parents that she was more than she appeared.
PERSONALITY: Ketsi is an angry little girl who, more than anything, hates to be underestimated. The youngest of the Dark Zodiac and one of the most feared (second only to Igira) she enjoys her newfound power and position in the team, and loves teasing others, particularly the weak-hearted Usagi. But, deep down, she just wants her family to love her for who she is, and not for who they want her to be.

NAME: Usagi
AGE: 17
CONSTELLATION: Lepus (the Hare)
POWER: Usagi can run at great speeds and jump long distances.
HISTORY: At school, Usagi was constantly bullied by his classmates for his twitchy, nervous personality. No matter how hard he tried, he could never get away from it. He would walk in, fall victim to some prank, have something stolen and then suffer endless torment for the rest of the day. He had always wished he could just escape it all, and get away...and guess who showed up?
Ophiuchus gave him the skill he desired, to escape in the blink of an eye with incredible speed...which could be equally used as a means of attack. Too scared to disagree with the masked figure, he accpeted his offer to join the Dark Zodiac.
PERSONALITY: Usagi is easily scared, constantly nervous, and will give in the moment things turn against him...but because of his speed, this rarely happens. His intellect and tactical genius make him invaluable to the team, even if he only helps so he can avoid being pounded into a little messy pulp by Ketsi. He doesn't really want to be involved in the Dark Zodiac at all, but he believes he has no choice in the matter...just as long as he sticks with Ata, his involvement with the team is bearable.

NAME: Okami
AGE: 15
CONSTELLATION: Lupus (the Wolf)
POWER: Okami can enter a state of ' perfect stealth' - she cannot be seen, heard, smelt or detected in any way except through touch.
HISTORY: Okami was often ridiculed and mocked over the scar on her face, inflicted upon her as a child by her abusive father. Harsh treatment was just a part of her life, both at school and at home. Knowing what it was like to be treated badly, she would never say a bad word about anybody, and often avoided ascociating with others altogether. But she could never hide her telltale scar, which acted as a beacon for cruelty and bullying. Like any teenager in her situation, all she wanted was to dissappear, to be ignored...if you don't know what happened next, you obviously haven't been reading any of this, have you?
Ophiuchus promised to grant her wish. She would be able to dissappear at will, as if she didn't even exist. She didn't want to join the Dark Zodiac...but the power he promised was too tempting for her. So she agreed to help him achieve his goals.
PERSONALITY: Quiet and emotional, Okami keeps to herself for the most part, and likes to be alone. However, she gets on well with Ata and Usagi, and enjoys their company. Aside from Amera, she is the quietest member of the group, and sometimes enters her perfect stealth state just so she can sit in a corner and be completely alone.

NAME: Karyu
AGE: 15
CONSTELLATION: Orion (the Hunter)
POWER: Karyu can immediately know where someone is by touching an object they have touched.
HISTORY: Traumatized after having to watch his parents being murdered by a serial killer, Karyu was never the same again. He spent years in an orphanage, wanting nothing more in life than to avenge his parents' death, to find their killer and make him suffer.
For Karyu, Ophiuchus' offer was more tangible. After granting him with the power to find anyone he so desired, the cloaked figure showed him a knife...the same knife used to kill Karyu's parents. Only by touching it would Karyu be able to locate the killer. And Ophiuchus would only give it to him if he accepted his terms...which he did without hesitation.
PERSONALITY: Short-tempered, dark and brooding, Karyu is desperate to bring down the Zodiac...because the sooner he does, the sooner his parents' killer can be punished. He doesn't socialize well with the rest of the team, and they tend to avoid him anyway. But when they need to track one of the Zodiac down, he is always ready to do so. Obsessed with vengeance, he won't let anyone bar his path.

NAME: Fenika
AGE: 17
CONSTELLATION: Phoenix
POWER: Flight and fire manipulation
HISTORY: Fenika never settled for being just 'good'...she had to be the best, and would hear nothing less about her. Quick and athletic, she was always the top player in any sport she participated in. She was hated by many for her self-centered ways, but she didn't care. She was the best, and she knew it.
Although she had no secret wish, Ophiuchus still visited her. He told her he could give her power, which would allow her to prove to the world she truly was number one, and nothing would ever bring her down. The prospect of pitting her skills against other powered individuals was what truly tempted her to join the Dark Zodiac's cause.
PERSONALITY: Selfish, arrogant and proud, Fenika knows she is good, and wants the rest of the world to know it too. Wrongly thinking of herself as the leader of the team, she never hesitates to boss others around, just as a long as she plays the biggest part in any plan. Not being one to settle for joint first place, she prefers dealing with situations alone.

NAME: Kagam
AGE: 17
CONSTELLATION: Perseus
POWER: Kagam can switch locations with any other individual
HISTORY: The twin brother of Sasoru, Kagam had always lived on the sidelines. Although he didn't initially know of his brother's involvement with the Zodiac, he hated him nonetheless. The two always competed for attention as kids, and were constantly trying to use their identical apperances to get each other into trouble. Taking advantage of this sibling rivalry, Ophiuchus presented Kagem with a chance for payback. Upon discovering his brother was among the team Ophiuchus wanted him to destroy, he gladly accepted.
PERSONALITY: Being a Scorpio himself, Kagam possesses many of Sasoru's personality traits. He is devious and cunning, plotting his every move for maximum effect. Sometimes he will even place himself in a dangerous situation only to switch places with an opponent on safe ground. However, he is by far the more violent twin, not hesitating to use his dagger on anyone who tries to stop him achieving his goals.
