It has been brought to my attention that since the integration of image ready an photoshop, their is no longer a "imageready"
if you have a newer version of photoshop, your animation pallete will simply replace image ready (windows>animation)

Someone messaged me looking for this tutorial, and it reminded me i had a bunch of old links from PS forums where i used to have these tutorials posted up leading to my DA account for the tutorials.
which is cool for exposure, but i didn't have them posted up (woops)

so here it is.

Tutorial © Alan Duncan aka thelazyfox

not for display or distribution anywhere else

grrr, kind of annoying DA won't allow animated tutorials, so this has to go in the wrong category

I would also add as part of the tutorial how to save the completed text. I had a difficult time figuring it out (and how to make it a good quality save). Did you know that Photoshop has integrated ImageReady? Some people , like me, might look for Image ready to no avail, only to find out it is built in to photoshop.

Here is a link to what came out of my attempt. [link] I found that when saving it to a .gif the quality and clarity of the background images suffered. Know of any way to improve it?

Yes i know image ready an Photoshop are together now. This tutorial was originally written before the integration. back when they were separate entities. i'll put that in the comments section.

If you had trouble finding the animation pallete you could of always just asked .

As for your image. theirs no reason why the quality of the bg should suffer. Try opening your bg an save it in a .gif without the animation an see if that quality matches what your getting.

As for your animation, just a lil tip. when making a non fluid animation of any type(since you skipped out on the reversing the animation step)
Put a delay after the end, so it doesn't start up again immediatly

No idea to be honest. Though why do you need to save it offline?
