Description
Rylan moved her saddle into the tack room, when she went back to the door she got a text. But as she looked down at her phone she collided with someone at the door. Rylan cried out in surprised as she fell back dropping her phone, a strong hand grabbed her arm and pulled her back upright. Stunned Rylan saw that is was the young man who had arrived earlier that day,.

"I am so sorry!" Rylan apologized blushing greatly.

"It's alright....it happens..." The guy answered, Rylan's eyes darted across his face. He was older than her by a couple years, his featured were a bit rough but handsome all the same, a scar cut through his left eyebrow. "I'm Connor Rixton by the way, the new security instructor..." Connor introduced himself.

"Hello. Rylan Weathers, welcome to Horseland" Ry greeted with a nervous smile, he shook her hand awkwardly.

"Er...thanks...." Connor rubbed the back of his neck, for a moment the two stood awkwardly in front of each other. Rylan's phone vibrated on the floor again.

"Crap!" Scooping up her phone she gave a sigh of relief as the screen luckily hadn't cracked.

"Yo! Connor, you coming?" Rylan heard Steve shout from the barn isle.

"Yah, I'm coming!" Connor called back. "Um...er...excuse me..." Connor mumbled, Rylan stepped out of the way and let him pass. Rylan slipped out of the tack room quickly, something in her made her stomach twist nervously and her pace quicken as she hurried out of the barn. Once outside she spotted Kate and walked over to her.

"Hey, you look like you just saw a ghost" Kate teased, Rylan shot her friend a glare.

"Me? Nah...almost smashed my phone thats all..." she answered. Behind her horses came out of the barn, Kate gave a low whistle as she noticed Connor.

"Well look at that, we actually got security that weren't eye sores on the property" Kate teased.

"Yo, babe I can hear you!" Archer called to her as he fileld the water trough on the other side of the fence. Kate brushed him off with a wave of her hand smirking at Rylan who watched as Connor mounted his mare.

"You haven't failed to notice either" She smirked, Ry nodded not paying much attention.

"Yeah..." Ry said quietly. "Wait what? No." Her face flaming as she looked away from him, Kate laughed as rolled her eyes.

"Suuure. I've gotta go, got a lesson with Angel and Emma." Kate said pushing off the fence and walked over to the arena, Archer sprayed her with the hose as she walked by. "ARCHER!" She snapped. "It is not summer anymore you idiot!" Kate continued to scold her boyrfriend as he doubled over laughing. Rylan gave an amused snort at the two before looking back at Connor, only to see he was looking right at her. Heat built in her cheeks again.

"Alright, come on!" Steve laughed then nudged Hero into a canter, Connor looked forward and followed the other blonde. Rylan leaned against the fence as she watched then disappear down the path. Who was this guy?
