Facility 57, also known as the Graphlang jumpgate, or the Alpha One jumpgate, was the first functional inter-reality jumpgate. Constructed by the native Republic of Selvene of the Alpha prime reality, its design became standardized after the U.F.T.S.S. NIGHTINGALE successfully stole the blueprints of the megastructure and turned the designs over to the United Federation of Terran States.

The structure consisted of 6 major structures in the vicinity of a supermassive black hole. Half of these were generation rings, which supplied the Wormhole Generation node, an oval gateway that lay out to the side of the Blackhole. These two structures worked in conjunction to form a wormhole which depending on the time in activation of the orbit of the Blackhole could manually determine what the exit reality would be. The other two major structures in the system were Space Stations, which orbited further out and acted as space traffic control, system defense, ship maintenance, resupply, and housing units.

After the second battle of Kepler 186f, the station and system fell under joint control between the United Federation of Terran States of reality AG2, the United Federation of Terran States of reality CC1, as well as the newly formed Democratic Republic of Selvene of reality AG2. A special tribunal was formed to determine the fate of the system, and it was eventually decided that the U.F.T.S. of CC1 would own the system, while a joint force of the D.R.O.S. and U.F.T.S. of AG2 would own and operate the jumpgate in the system.

The site would later find itself to be a massive hub, as nearly every reality which integrated into the network had some form of service to transfer to the system, this, paired with the massive amount of ships coming through to assist with the rebuilding of its reality, made the site a hub of economic activity. It also found itself as the site for the launch of the first recorded extragalactic expedition, utilizing a jointly owned and operated Solace class supercarrier to be the first contact with another galaxy outside the milky way, and setting off a new era of diplomacy and colonialism.
