THIS IS NOT ACCURATE TO THE MOVIES.
Not by any means. This is just to get an idea of what I myself am going to need for my cosplay, and is pretty much based on convenience.

I'm thinking of cosplaying Kili this year for The Armo. Expo, and since the design seems incredibly difficult (at least for me) I decided that I needed more organisation.
Aaaaaand now I've got this. ;D

Hello, I am planning on cosplaying Kili in the future, so just for material reference... may I use this? because, I know you say this isn't accurate, but it gives layer by layer where as most have the whole outift together and makes it hard to see underneath. where as this is separate. it is awesome

Actually, Kiki's leather over tunic is made of Dakota leathercwith a stressed treatment.

You can get the book on ebay or at coercion. Super helpful for costumes. Shows all outfit ideas, props, and weapons. Its also by Wets workshop, the company that made LOTR, Narnia, and Hobbit weapons, props, costumes, and armor.

As much help as it would be, I don't think I can. This alone was just too much work, and I can't really imagine myself making another any time soon. But I might, maybe another time.

This is awesome! I'm looking at making a Kili costume and this is great! Much of what you've got is drawn how I've been trying to sketch it out... just wondering, is there a reason you've got the blue fleece tunic without long sleeves?
I started off thinking that had to be the sleeves that go down under the coat to the bracers, but in the pictures it doesn't always look blue. THoughts?

The tunic in the movie is definitely long sleeved, but the reason I gave it short sleeves in this is because if I cosplay this I don't want it to be overly hot just because of all the layers. I figured because the rest of the costume will be covering the sleeves I might as well disregard them. (:

I'm looking at doing the long sleeves on the tunic as I don't know if I'll have time to create the coat before I want to cosplay, and figured I could do the cosplay without the coat. But short sleeves sounds great if you're wearing all those layers!
I need to cosplay in Antarctica or something - I always seem to end up with layers!
Will you be posting your costume once you've made it?

Ugh, I wish the convention I went to was like freezing cold, but it's the opposite and I always end up sweaty and gross. x'D
And I'm not too sure I'll be cosplaying Kili this year. There's just too much to do with too much money and not enough time. However, there is still a chance I will, so if I do I will defiantly be posting pictures.
