na. Most people don't know gen 3 or 3.5 (newborn cuties) even exist. They think that FiM is gen 2 and that gen 1 is gen 1.5 (which is kind of girly, but decent) so they mostly just rage about gen 1 being "stupid" and "girly" and how gen 4 is "a totally different thing" even though a whole bunch of FiM characters are G1 characters with different colour schemes and slightly different personalities. Plus AJ, Tirek and Spike are all originally from G1..
