Vicar Amelia is my favorite boss in terms of looks. Cleric Beast being a close second.
most fun boss to fight, Gehrman, the First Hunter or Father Gascoigne.
worst fight, the Witch of Hemwick.
easiest, Rom, the Vacuous Spider.
hardest, hands down Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos.
god, i love this game.

i agree, i was in love with vicar amelia the first time i saw her. i think she's a lot of fun, but like most of the big bosses, she gets really funny when you fight with more hunters because they glitch out and just freeze up in fights.

Rom made me feel bad fighting her. The way she just sits there without even realizing you're there to hurt her, then scuttling away when you hit her, not even fighting back at first.

That is not at all the vibe I got from Rom.
Mostly because in order to become the multi-eyed spider she is, she meddled with things that she reallyΒ shouldn't have meddled with, and everything went to hell.

But she may have meddled under the instruction of theΒ Byrgenwerth scholars. Or even have been experimented on by them. Just because she was involved doesn't mean she's at fault.

That might have been true, but(one of) Byrgenwerth's purpose(s) was to ascend to Great One's status by 'lining their brain with eyes' which refers to insight I believe.
I read or heard somewhere that Rom and the byrgenwerth scholars used rituals and asked a Great One, possibly Amygdala, to give them "a million eyes".
I seem to think it was pretty voluntary, as Micolash and his scholars seem perfectly willing to make contact with another Great One in hopes of ascending like Rom.

We may never know Rom's level of culpability.
So for now I feel she's somewhat innocent, knowing that it's basically a headcanon of mine.

Will we be seeing arts of Gehrman or Father Gascoigne? And gotta say, Vicar Amelia was a very well designed boss, though that fur can get in the way a bit. But still very nicely designed.
