the marbles are pretty, but I'm loving the background, too.

uhm... I think you might be missing a credit to the person who wrote the script for your marbles. I've used a script that gives these kinds of results so the pattern is familiar. [link] [link] The name of the script I used was BC & BD's Wedge_Sph marble script and can be downloaded through

I don't use a script for my marbles, I just make something in Apo, then turn the fractal into an orb in PSP, it's easy.
And not many people continuously give credits for scripts anyway, usually just with the first couple they make. I don't think script makers demand credits every time you use them, so no worries

uhm... actually.... **anytime** you use someone else's work you're supposed to give them credit and that even goes for scripts. Otherwise it's called copyright infringement.... aka art theft.

I also make my marbles in Apo and then take them into GIMPshop to post-process; so I know the procedures. The scripts are actually used in Apo. If you didn't actually use a script **then** there is "no worries" but anytime an artist's work is used, they are supposed to get credit, no matter how many times you use it. And just because "not many people" do something doesn't make it right. Two wrongs ***never*** make a right.... and definitely demands credit anytime one of Bunny Clarke's scripts gets used. Bunny makes them especially for the club so that the club gets more exposure. People not giving credit to the artist is why a lot of artists are leaving DA. I just today had another friend delete their gallery due to the rampant art theft. Many others have gone somewhere else due to art theft and how easy it is on DA. Of the artists still on DA there are many who specifically state that people cannot use their work for things like brushes or stock or things of that nature simply because people refuse to give credit. So not giving credit to the artist hurts us all.... even if you feel the credit is not necessary.

Wow, there must be thousands of fractalists here who don't always give credit to script makers, maybe you should do a journal or news article, warning that they are committing art theft. I bet many don't know this fact.

I know many people who have left here recently because people have stolen their art images and have posted them on that 'nexus' site, about 50 of mine have been stolen and posted on there. Others have left because of the 'share' fiasco too, but I'm afraid I wasn't aware that some script makers had left because they weren't given credits. That is a sad situation

hmmm It appears you could possibly need some help in your reading skills unless you just like to purposely and sarcastically twist people's words for your own neurotic purposes. To sum it up, I said that art theft is a terrible problem because it is rampant. (Maybe I should say "common" though since you have problems reading. It's a smaller word and more readily understood. For any other difficult words I might write here, please have someone else interpret them for you, as I'm not used to writing on lower grade levels and may possibly have a lapse in focus, resorting to more difficult words.) I **never** said that "script writers had left because they weren't given credits." I said that artists in general are leaving due to art theft being so common a problem and of the ones that are still on DA there are "many who specifically state that people cannot use their work for things like brushes or stock or things of that nature simply because people refuse to give credit." I'm sure there are many artists who would otherwise offer scripts openly to others if they knew they would get proper credit but I said **NOTHING** about people leaving due to not giving credit for scripts. Decidedly your reading problems are much worse than I previously thought since there were no hard words in that phrase. So even if I **did** write a newsletter I doubt that people on your reading level could understand it. You also didn't understand that just because "thousands of fractalists here don't always give credit" doesn't make it **right**. If you're stealing someone else's work, presenting it as your own and see no problem with doing it, then you deserve to have your own work stolen. So I have no sympathy for your work being uploaded to DesktopNexus if this is the case. I **DO** have sympathy for the many people who get their work stolen who are honest and give people the credit they deserve.

Maybe the root of the problem is that many art thieves just don't know how to read well enough to know the rules and give proper credit. Of the ones that **do** know how to read it could possibly be that they suffer from Antisocial Personality Disorder and just think stealing is ok. In this case, talking to them on here would do no good. They would desperately need long-term, in-depth psychotherapy, as APD is extremely difficult to treat since the person sees no problem with a lack of respect for others. So apparently instead of news/journal articles or direct discourse I think I should just bypass the thief altogether (like I did yesterday with two stolen pieces on DesktopNexus) and just report ***anything*** I find directly to the original artist. Then they can decide whether or not they wish to take action.

Thank you so much for enlightening me as to your reading difficulties. This new information has thus been assimilated into my reasoning and it all makes perfect sense now. Both reading difficulties and APD present problems with art theft that are unsolvable at this level. This will make things much easier for me in the future as I will no longer bother trying to gently and politely explain things directly to thieves but will just simply go to the ****true**** artist instead. Maybe the artist will be patient with them and try to draw pictures for them since they can't read well; or maybe the artist will take pity on those with APD and try to take up a collection for their psychotherapy. Gee! Poor art thieves!!! How will they ever make themselves useful to society if they can't read properly or don't know how to respect others? They'll continually be breaking the rules unless someone can draw pictures for them or help get them treatment. Yes indeed it is a very sad situation... much sadder than I suspected.

Have a nice day!!
