We sacrifice not only our minds but our bodies to meet the war’s demand~

I dreamt our entire planet fell knee deep in war the other night. We were forced to murder those we had grown to love, our homes becoming nothing more than cover from bullets that ricocheted ceaselessly. Our futures nothing more than intangible dreams that never left the back patio. It was truly quite depressing to watch unfold.

The rhythm of war beat on for ten merciless years and bodies pilled up to becoming nothing more than mere fertilizer for the generation of vegetation. Drafted into the military like so many others, I moved up within the ranks. Quickly becoming a commander and efficient medic of an eight man squad. It lacked a plot for the most part. The majority of it simply being nothing more than a chaotic masquerade of blood, death and destruction.

Of course such took place within my Spartan’s body which explains why the picture showcases her rather than me. The area in which I am currently using as cover while I proceed to snipe is no where in particular. Just something I utilized for cover.
You can hardly see but off in the lower right is a shattered clock. It is supposed to be symbolic regarding the fact that we no longer let time guide us but rather guide it ourselves as we romp on through our undoing.

I shall be posting another picture of her during the ten year time span where we acquired new technology along the way. Making us more efficient on the front. Using said technology, we were able to devise a type of armor that would be more protective than Kevlar and bore hydraulics to make it light. A nice perk to avoid all the wounds she has acquired within this current picture I should say. The odd deep shading is bruises. Was not exactly certain how to sketch that in pencil and there were not too many tutorials. Well. That I could find anyway.

I aim to resurface this digitally and stick her in her armor for an alternative picture eventually. For now. I hope you like it.
