Because like a wolf in sheep's clothing, Satan wants us to be decieved into thinking of God as the enemy, instead of sin.
I know that a lot of people don't want to believe this and will hate me for saying it, but it is a sin to be Gay.
Now that's not to say that a man can't be effeminate; no! To the contrary; there's nothing wrong with a man who keeps himself well groomed, has a higher pitched voice, or whatever else would typically be labeled "effeminate."
But a man who actively seeks sexual relations with another man, is doing something wrong; he is rebelling against God, trying to seperate himself from Him, and that is what we call sin; when we try to seperate ourselves from God.
And why would a man chose to be with another man, instead of a woman, anyway? A man who does so deprives himself of a great joy; for women are such a wonderful gift that God has given!
They balance us out in so many ways...Ways that a man can never truly replicate in himself.
And even if you cannot agree with that on a spiritual standpoint, then take this into consideration; for every man in most nations, there are twice as many women. Would it not make more sense then, for what few men we have to come together with a woman and multiply? The odds of a woman finding a good man are bad enough without men turning to each other for sexual and emotional fullfilment!
And true fullfilment comes from a relationship with the Lord; so why then would we want to deny ourselves that joy by turning away from him?
Sadly, it is a question that is as old as time itself...We thought that we could be better than God, and thus have tried to replace him over the years...And where has that gotten us?
Nowhere good, as it turns out.
It always saddens me to see how skewed the world's perception of God has become. D:
In fact, the man pictured here, is mistaken; Jesus DOESN'T hate Gay people! But he DOES hate sin. He hates being seperated from us, to be without our companionship. And when we sin, when we disobey God's rules, (which are in place because he made the world to work a certain way, and to deviate from those rules causes the world to be thrown into disfunction) we are seperating ourselves from him!
Thus you will find the truth in the phrase 'love the sinner, hate the sin'.
Which is why he died for us on the cross; he took the fate that was rightfully ours, (to be thrown into chaos and condemned to eternal death, for life cannot exist without God to keep it functioning) and put it upon himself. He gave us the opportunity, to wipe our ledgers clean on sin, if only we would chose to follow him, to ask for forgiveness, to accept him as our Savior.

Hehe, I'm not hating on you. But as I said, the sad truth is that a lot of people have been mislead when it comes to who God really is and the role he plays in our lives. Unfortunately, a lot of people who profess to be Christian, really aren't, and really make a bad name for us as they take THEIR opinions, and speak it as truth. Thus, I like to try and correct commmon misconceptions when I see them, as politely and positively as possible. n_n
So yeah, I have no ill will toward you or gay people. I'm just trying to address misconceptions and such where I see them. =3

By the way, I want to thank you for not hiding my comment, and for giving me the opportunity to post. I'll leave it up to God whether or not I succeed in influencing people's opinions, but I am grateful that you've given me the chance, one way or another. n_n

"Jesus DOESN'T hate Gay people! But he DOES hate sin"

He also said: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you"

The gay people out there didn't just one day look themselves in the mirror and say "Hey, this is a great time to have sex with people of my same gender. Yeah, I'll be gay, man". No. This was a process that begun from the very first day of conception, and it has been this way since the human is human. So it's not longer a phenomena or a mutation. This people were, literally, born this way, and what you're saying is that they choose to be like that and because of them the human will stop existing.

We're not going to stop existing because of gays; [if] we're going to stop existing because some men (and, yeah, women) are idiots. Homosexuals have nothing to do with that.

But let's go back to what Jesus said.

How loving someone else could separate us from god? No matter who you love; Love is love no matter how you look at it. Just like that.

I thought God had full control over the universe. As I said before, this starts during the gestation months, so why God doesn't just simply stops that when it's happening? If it's a sin to be born like that, if it separate us from him, why God does nothing with the baby that will unavoidable born as a sinner?

Because being gay it's not a sin. Being gay it's ok, it's natural and people shouldn't speak of it like something wrong.

I'm not trying to put doubts in your (or anyone's) faith, just to be clear. I respect your opinion, but I'm also forced to defend what is right, and I, and millons of people around the globe, believe that, just as born as a woman/man, born gay it is right.

To be fair, I never said that humanity was going to cease to exist because of Homosexuals. And you're right, God did say that we are to "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Leviticus; 19:18)
As such, there's nothing wrong with men loving each other. After all, we are all called to love one another! But for a man to seek sexual relations with another man, is wrong, and it is unnatural.

Now, I can understand why you would think that wasn't true. For you are correct; God DOES have control over everything, and people who are Gay can be dispositioned from birth to have an affinity for their fellow men.
However, God also gave us free will. He has given us the opportunity to CHOOSE to follow him. It is the same choice he gave Adam in the Garden of Eden.
"You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it, you will surely die." (Genesis 2:16-17)
But Adam chose to eat of the tree anyway, and so Adam and all his offspring were cursed to die. Thankfully, God has shown mercy on us by sending Jesus to die in our stead; thus giving us an out when it comes to eternal death; however, we must still keep his commands. It's a trade-off, not a 'get out of jail free' card. Jesus gives us his spotless record on our ledger, and we agree to follow him and keep all his commands.
While you are correct that men do not just one day decide to be Gay, it is also true that, even if they are dispositioned from birth to be attracted to their fellow man, they can still choose not to act on those feelings.

As for your comment, your question, about why God wouldn't stop a baby from being born a sinner...Let me first remind you that we are ALL born sinners, not just people who seek sexual relations with other men. But back to the question, it all goes back to free will. We chose to be sinful, to rebel against God in the beginning, and we all choose to be sinful on a weekly, if not daily basis.
He could force us to be unblemished, to obey him, but that is not what he wants. He doesn't want mindless slaves that have no will of their own. He wants companions, a family, if you will, that he can share in fellowship with! Thus he gave us the choice, still gives us the choice, to sin, or not to sin, as we desire. But he adds this stipulation; those who sin, who rebel, cannot be in fellowship with him. And how could we? How can you spend time with someone you're avoiding? Who would want to spend time with you, when you constantly insult them, spit in their face, and ignore them?
The great mercy of God, though, is that he DOES want to have fellowship with ALL of us, in spite of our faults. He only asks that we would also put in the effort, to give up our evil ways and turn to him.
Now he knows, that because of our cursed nature, we are incapable of doing this on our own. Which is why he gave us Jesus; Jesus took our place on the cross, and if we will believe in Him and do all that we can to follow him, he will forgive us of our sins, and give us the strength to follow his commands.

I admire your desire to defend what you believe to be truth. And I hope it is a desire that you retain all of your days; so long as you are also willing to consider that occassionally, you can be wrong too.
Now don't misunderstand me; I am in no way proclaiming that I am immune to the same shortcomings. I am sinful, that I know. But I also know that the Bible is absolute truth, and that it needs to be defended. I also know, that if we are faithful, in the end, Jesus will set things right, and those who walk in him will be forgiven. n_n
I also want to thank you for leaving this comment; I must admit, I have enjoyed our friendly debate thus far, and studying my Bible for appropiate verses was a wonderfully fun way to spend my afternoon. n_n
