For this lesson, Tobias took Anubis out egg gathering. Fun, huh?

The baggy-eyed Anubis perked up his ears as if he had reacted to a sudden sound. Tobias took notice of this, though he heard nothing. Anubis took a few steps away from his teacher and scanned the ground. In the brown grass lay an egg, misplaced and forlorn. He sat down and cupped the egg in his hand with the gentleness of a mother with her infant.

"Good job, you found an egg!" Tobias walked to him and knelt down beside him.

Anubis looked to him. "Egg?"

"Yeah, a baby csirkatrice is in there."

Anubis looked back at the egg. His eyelids slowly came together as his little paws wrapped around the egg. It appeared as if he was meditating and in a deep state of focus. Tobias sat in intrigue, but remained silent.

Anubis lifted his eyelids. "Baby... cheer-kah-triss...."
