Description Once upon a time there was a young witch. She was excellent at casting spells and performing alchemy, but the townspeople feared her and banished the child to live in an old barn at the top of a hill on the outskirts of the village.
The young witch was torn from her family and lived at the barn for many years, becoming an outstandingly beautiful young woman. Her time alone caused her to improve many of her skills, but she longed for company.
From her window, the witch liked to watch the goings-on of the townspeople. She knew all of their secrets. The baker was cheating on his wife with the neighbor. A politician was blackmailing for many of her votes. A poet had murdered his fiancee and arranged the body to seem as though she had killed herself. But the most interesting to the witch was a young man.
This particular young man had moved to the village as a merchant a few years ago. Business went well and he soon opened up a shop. The young man was handsome, smart, friendly and, to the witch, perfect. She wanted the man to be hers. He did not deserve the filth of the village that had rejected her for what she was born with but overlooked murderers, blackmailers and basic scum.
She decided to write to the young man. Her letter intrigued him and before asking about the woman who lived on the top of the old hill, he went to visit her. He had moved to the town many years after the witches banishment and knew nothing of her power.
The man was warmly invited in and poured a generous amount of delicious smelling tea. The two talked politely for a while until the man asked why he never saw her in town. She then revealed herself to him, confessing to be cursed with magic. The man was terrified of her. This infuriated the witch and as he fled from her barn, she cursed him.
The young man did not know of the curse until a few weeks later. As the full moon began it ascension, the man began to feel very strange. He burst from his home a monster, unable to control his actions, terrifying and killing townsfolk.
As the dawn wiped away the night, the man became himself again. The townspeople banished this monster to live with the witch, for she was the only one who could control him when the full moon came.
And so they lived there for the rest of time, the man hating the beast he was and never forgiving  the witch for what she had done to him, and the witch hating herself for making her beloved so unhappy but unable to remove the curse.
