I never knew what to say,To share how I truly feel.
I was taught to never give up,
And make my dreams a reality.
So I'm trying a new approach,
And writing out what my heart feels.
In hopes that you'll read this,
And realize what I feel deep down.
When I looked into your eyes,
The first day that we met.
My heart skipped a beat,
And I fell for your smile.
I know who I want to be.
As long as you are beside me,
I'll be the hero you never had,
If only you'll give me a chance.
I'll say all the right things,
To see that smile again.
And wipe away the tears,
From the pain of lost love.
I may not be the best,
But I'll give you all that I am.
I wish you would believe me,
And know I'll never leave you.
I'm not here to replace anyone,
Only find out where I belong.
