Introducing "Butter", the boldest feral feline I've ever knownβand I know more than most. Generally, such cats stay within their territory which typically extends the radius of a block or so, but not her. When the mood strikes, she'll far exceed and follow me on walks through completely unfamiliar territory. Much beyond any human, she's sincerely shared with me for over six years. I like to imagine that she wouldn't lie even if she could. And while I'm not one to covet, I hope she continues to endure for years to come. I've never met anything like her.

I'm guessing you're referring to Paula Deen (cooking with butter)? While I afterward recognized her image, I had to first research her. I'm not a follower of hers and generally opt for 5-minutes-preparation foods.
I tagged 'Butter' because of her intensely yellow eyes and softness.

Maybe Butter was dumped by somebody.Β Ferals don't usually want to get near anyone.Β I've adopted Brynner.Β He sleeps on our nice warm porch now.Β He's the most precious cat in the world.Β Never thought I would become a cat person, but Brenny-Boo (his nickname) is a cutie.

Maybe not, too β¦ besides her, she's had multiple litters. Many of those survived and relocated to new territories. I see them around from time-to-time. Typically ferals that live in populated areas will choose at least one human they can depend on and trust. Butter makes the rounds. She reaps from other neighbors as well. β Kitty's also feral, but much more wary of humans. Far as I know, no one else can get close enough to touch her unless I'm there. Sometimes even that doesn't make any difference to her.
Cats are grrrrreat! But, then too, you now know that. Goodie-goodie for you and Brynner, Violet.

My Mynkii is about to have her 17th birthday....and I dread the day that she wont be my companion.Β Until then I cherish every moment she decides to share with me.Β She gets lot of hugs, cuddles and kisses and yes....she still goes wandering around the back garden with me on her grass hunting feasts and loves it

How coincidentally untimely. While out getting my 3:00 a.m. aerobics biking thing on, I found a neighborhood cat squashed on the road. Its feline companion was nearby hovering, seemingly in dismay. And such is life. In the grand scheme, we'll be close behind.
