I am very pleased with how this came out. I wanted to draw this [link] in this [link] art style. Did I do ok? Does it look like official art? I went to great lengths to ensure that it did. I used the paths tool, I used gradients.... I even added the little sub-outlines made of colour that the official art has, and that wasn't easy, because I didn't set up my paths properly. The rainbow effects are a substitute for the slicing wall of rainbow as seen in the sprite. [link] That worked in a sprite, but it didn't really work in my picture. I still have some plans for this piece, so I'll probably update later. I've been drawing a lot recently, and I've finally realized why people don't always upload everything they do.

Drawing this has really shown me how much there is to do in art. At any point in the drawing phase, this could have turned into something totally different. I considered altering the colour scheme and turning Mirror Kirby into Beam Kirby, I could've changed the position of the eyes, the rainbow effects, the style of the outlines, the pattern on the jester hat, and lots more, and it would've totally changed the picture. I gave myself 450,000 pixels to work with, I could've drawn almost anything!

I got Kirby Super Star Ultra for Christmas, and I love it. The mirror ability is awesome, that jester hat is great. Pretty cool dash attack, too. I like Kirby games because of variety, and quick, easy, colourful fun. But I wish that they would be slightly harder, and that there was greater diversity between the abilities.

Kirby belongs to Nintendo, but I drew this. Comments are greatly appreciated, as is constructive criticism appropriate to my skill level. Thanks for checking this out!
