Rose sat in the kitchen drinking her coffee, watching him look peacefully out the window. She thought about all of the adventures she and the Doctor had taken together as she thought he was doing the same. She took a sip of her coffee and walked over to him; she kissed the top of his head, smoothed his hair that was sticking up everywhere just as it usually did and she sat down beside him. She wondered where he had gone off

"Where were you off to this time?" she asked him.

"The year five billion," he told her "our first date."

He grinned at her, and she grinned back. She loved that smile. She set her coffee down on the table and leaned her head against his shoulder. She put her hand up to his chest to feel his heart beat. Instead of the two heartbeats, she felt one. She smiled to herself loving the feeling of one solitary heartbeat against her hand. She was growing old with the most amazing man possible.

She lifted her head and kissed him softly. "I love you," she said as she placed her head back on his shoulder.

"I love you too," he replied and kissed the top of her head. He went back to his day dream about all the times they'd had together, and all of the times they were going to have.
