I've never seen the point of those wraps around her gloves, other than a "wow, that's cool" factor.

As cool as Cass looks with a sword, I've never really liked it on her. It feels too tacked on as an accessory, they're mostly playing with the "asian girl" cliche with that. Not that I doubt for a minute she can handle one, but it's not exactly in line with the Bat Family's non-lethal code of weaponry.

I agree. I don't think she'd ever pick up a sword unless she really needed to like in the arc where she was up against Rose and Slade. I gave her a sword in this picture precisely because I just think she looks damned cool with it.
