Love those "Wide-Track Pontiacs." We grew up with a 67 Firebird.

My parents had a four door one of these when I was a kid. Big ass car.

Ours was four door too, and olive green! Mom traded it in in '73 for a Blue Cat!

Ours was cream with a black vinyl roof. Traded it in '74 for a Mercury Comet.

I could picture it! It was such a beautifully designed car! Our '73 Cat, which I drove until '93 was also a great ride.[link]

It looked nice, but suffered from the late '60's sagging rear springs and chronically leaky trunk. That and for some reason, my dad didn't get the front disc brakes, so stopping distances could be described as "leisurely".

Unfortunately design might be cool but practicality made it less so! Maybe that's why Mom Eyepilot bought a '73!

My first car was a '74 Le Mans. Not the best car in the world. The rear window leaked, it had body rot, handled like a drunken elephant and got lousy gas mileage.

I inherited the '73 Cat...drove it out west for three weeks...then bought my Uncle's Cherokee! Until it died in a Blockbuster Video parking lot!
