I'm back, woo! If only I could stay consistent. This one means a lot more to me than some of the others, as it's a DND character I'm playing. Yes their name is Fischl, I created them in 2018 leave me alone. 20yr old Human fighter (archer) who is part dragonborn sorcerer after drinking some dragon blood from a white dragon we defeated about a month ago. Really I created this for myself and my friends, but I can't just leave art hidden away. I won't lie, this isn't my best work and I kind gave up - my drawing style is very inefficient and after 10hrs I decided that enough was enough. That being said, I do like how it turned out, especially considering I tried out new shading techniques and lighting after watching Marc Brunet on YT - it made the piece a whole lot better than with my usual shading/ blending style. I think I'll practice more with it.

I'm happy with the image, but I know I can do better.

I'm probably going to move to art with more line work - I really enjoy using shading instead of lines but this will make finishing pieces so much quicker. Not to mention that with my job and going gym finding time to do art is becoming increasingly more difficult. It will give me more opportunity to practice different art techniques and maybe different styles, as well as practice drawing bodies which I suck at lol. I outlined the body shape above, with some original features. Just search up "Guy posing on tree" and you'll probably find the image I used.

Some Fischl lore, for whoever read this far, and if they care. Fischl is a human whose sister was forcibly taken from his home by the church and given to a wealthy noble man. He promised to get her back and spent 10 years training with Elves (hence the elven cloak) as an assassin. When he was of age he went and hunted down the people who took his sister to find out she had been murdered - in blind rage he vowed to take everyone out who was responsible and grew a deep hatered for the wealthy and the church. He did succeed in taking out the noble man, but felt hollow - it didn't make him feel any better, but he knew this was justice. Taking the name of his sister, he vowed to drive out corruption in the nobles and the church so no one experiences what he went through. (It's not the best backstory, but it was my first.)

That's how he started his first DND session, and also my first DND session. Met up with some companions, drove out corruption in a city with the help of a coup d'état, got trapped in a purple dimension (everything was purple there), got transported 20 years into the future, helped liberate a couple cities, got together with a Mafia bosses daughter, aided in killing a white dragon, drank some dragon blood, survived somehow and that's where we are today. Still stuck in the future - but almost fixing everything with the aide of various companions (including a kobold prostitute, a shark-like girl and a penguin with a shotgun). Missed out a lot of details, but that's good enough. Also terrified of giant spiders.
