Personality: Allan is an incredible goof. He enjoys cracking jokes whenever possible. To some, he may come off as a complete fool. However, when a matter needs to be taken seriously, he shows that he’s smarter than he seems and will momentarily suspend his goofiness in order to tackle said situation. His decisions are often impulsive and without much forethought which can sometimes put himself and others in danger. He makes up for it with his unwavering determination and loyalty to his friends. After having defeated Umbris, he can be a bit cocky running into battle, but tries to avoid battle itself if possible. He knows that Umbris is not completely defeated though and has been trying to prepare himself for the day that she will inevitably return. He tries to play things off like he’s fine, however, he’s incredibly scared and nervous about it.
Backstory/Description: Allan was pretty much a normal kid until he was one day teleported to another world by the warlock in training Dragonflight at a young age. During the young boy’s time there, he befriended Dragonflight and her squire sister Celia. When Dragonflight couldn’t figure out the proper way to get Allan home, she went to her teacher for advice, who instead took the young boy’s soul. He claimed that the boy was pure of heart, which made his soul much more valuable. Outraged, Dragonflight attacked her teacher, and fired a spell at a rope holding a crystal ball. The crystal ball collided with the soul stone Allan was trapped in, shattering both simultaneously. As they both shattered, the energies surging from the crystal ball fused with Allan’s emerging soul, strengthening him considerably. After the two defeated Dragonflight’s former teacher, Dragonflight managed to find aid in sending Allan back, even giving him a rune that should enable him to go to and from Azertan as he pleased. Allan of course stayed in contact afterwards, and learned to sword fight from Celia which let him put his abilities to use.
It was later thanks to his visits to the magical world, and the light-forged armor that he recieved from Celia that would allow him to stop the shadow menace Umbris from laying claim to the Grand Tree on Earth, the source of life. Although, her defeat would not be permanent, Umbris would later rise again, ready and stronger than ever. It was during a fight with a corrupted Dragonflight that Allan had his first taste of light magic, with his newfound magic, Allan was able to defeat Umbris a second time, although Reseran warned that she was not truly gone.
After the threat of Umbris was washed away from Earth, Allan could not seem to use his magic, as if it had only manifested because he was in peril. He was worried that Umbris would return before he could learn to use them again, and would later go to Dragonflight for help. She showed him a map in the magic book that her mother had given Lloyd that showed an island where a fabled type of Dragon supposedly slumbered. They failed to find this supposed dragon, but after Dragonflight saved Allan from a demon, her kind and supportive words give Allan the epiphany he needed to be able to control his magic once again. It was put to the test.when Allan had to save Dragonflight from her crazed half-brother Grithor, who was living his exile on the island.
Shortly after these events, Allan started attending college at Carsigil University, rooming with Jen.
