Kimmie had some free time, so she decided to learn how to play her favorite song "For Love" from the rock band LUSH. Kicking off her converse sneakers and grabbing her guitar, she starts playing, being inspired from a instructional video she saw on youtube. While she saves the world most days, she secretly dreams of the day when she too can form her own band and live the life of a rock star. If not, well, she can always play this for the raven haired beauty she loves, since it is "for love" anyway.

This is a very late gift art for I have promised to do since the first of the year and I am sooooo sorry this is late getting to you my friend!
I'm sorry this has so many mistakes in it. I did my best! Now, I gotta finish all the others I promised to do (oh, my aching back!)

Oh wow, you have GOT to get yourself on YouTube and listen (as well as see) them. They were my fave atlternative band back in the late 80's-early 90's. They were fronted by two girls (both guitars) and two guys (bass and drums) and they just were pure awesomeness in song and sound.
Sadly, when the drummer committed suicide in 96, it detroyed the group because they were so tight. If you get some time, I would reccommend a look. Besides, if Kimmie likes them enough to play their songs, so should you!

Bummer, yeah I understand, you see Nirvana's lead singer
apparently committed suicide but some people are skeptical
about that (including myself) there was even an Unsolved-Mysteries
episode all about the weird evidence, such as his credit card being used
days after he died.

I know my artwork does not look exactly as on the series, but I like to draw all my art in my style to give it my personal touch as you said. To me, I enjoy this better, is that crazy of me to say?
I had planned to do Kimmie, Bon Bon, Shego, and Tara as a girl band with each in their own drawing (as Kimmie is here), but my railroad work has been very long in hours and I work at night, so I am too tired to finish. I do need to finish this, because I have people tell me that it is a good idea I have of them as a girl band.
Believe it or not, I had some artists tell me I inspired them to do their own drawings of Kim and the girls in a band or playing other musical instruments. (Feuderlaurant, Jeepika, and a few others), I was very honored to know I put that idea in their head!
Oh, do not worry about missing this. I understand. We all get busy with other things like work and things in life. I hope to do more for you to enjoy my friend as I love faving your art as well.

I kinda messed up the top end of Kim's guitar (I drew this by memory and didn't use a photo of a guitar for reference), but all in all, it turned out ok.

That's really good. I cannot draw anything from memory. I have Asperger's Syndrome, a form of autism, and people with autism often have no imagination. I can draw anything I see, but I can't draw anything without a picture.

Don't let your condition be a problem. I like your artwork you do. The main thing is that you are able to draw what you see and make it look as close to the cartoon itself. That is something to be proud of, my friend.

I messed up on the string connections on the end and didn't realize it until after I inked it (which is usually the case with me anymore!), but I'm satisfied with it mostly.
My scanner for some reason won't bring out the full colors on this, but what can ya do?

lol, I just drew it out from memory. I did not realize about the guitar details until I stumbled on the youtube link after it was done, so I kinda got the guitar details close (although I did use the red colors because I thought it looked awesome!
The converse shoes was strictly from memory, so I don't even know if I got that right at all!

I guess if I had used the exact pic of Kimmie from the series as reference, it would have been more perfect that way, but instead I always just sit down and draw from memory in my style.

Too much stress, I'm afraid. I run freight trains and it's mainly at night, so you can imagine how sleepy I am. Can't wait to retire!

We work a 12 hour limit, so sometimes I don't get home until 5 or 6 in the morning. It's not an easy job and you sacrafice a lot of your free time. I don't recommend this career unless you want to make the money, which is very good, but you pay the price by being on call and not getting good vacation days.

This popped into my mind when I was at youtube watching their awesome videos when I stumbled upon the instructional tutorial to one of my favorite songs they did, and immediately thought of Kimmie doing just this since she's a redhead like Miki Berenyi the lead singer, so it was a natural. Plus, it brought me out of my blue funk after I completed it. Bonus win!
